Teyana Taylor was recognised as Billboard\u2019s Women in Music Visionary this year at the event last night and showed up with her family in an Ashi Studio dress that was embellished with clusters of hair. I didn\u2019t even clock that at first, I thought it was just whatever attachments but if you look closely, you can see the strands. <\/p>\n

And then, of course, the braid at the back.<\/p>\n

For me, though, it\u2019s the shoes. Pink satin, ballet and boots, a bitch to walk in but SO good. And, of course, perfectly paired with the dress and the whole Les Mis\u00e9rables vibe to it, at least that\u2019s what I\u2019m seeing.<\/p>\n

Like EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami<\/a>, Teyana has had A YEAR, coming off the success of One Battle After Another <\/em>and her overall pop culture takeover. And we\u2019ll see her again on Monday because she is one of the members of the Met Gala host committee which means she\u2019s pretty much guaranteed to make an appearance, but I do no want to see her hosting the livestream again like she did last year. Not that she didn\u2019t do a great job, my point is that she\u2019s graduated from it now \u2013 she proved she could do it, she went on to have a pivotal role in an Oscar Best Picture winner, and it\u2019s time for what\u2019s next, which is playing Dionne Warwick \u2026 in addition to serving whatever she\u2019s about to give us on that red carpet. Because I imagine every fashion house would have wanted the opportunity to be on her body.<\/p>\n

Since we\u2019re talking about hosting livestreams and interviewing people, though, she did not do any interviews at Billboard yesterday, I guess they were running out of time, so you know what she did instead? She just hugged the press line, lol.<\/p>\n

As a reporter myself, I\u2019m never going to say I would prefer a hug over an interview, never ever ever. Also I\u2019m not a huggy person. But. This must have been a nice consolation, and she\u2019s a sweetie for doing it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
