Secretly Group, Exceleration Music, Warp Records, Ninja Tune <\/strong>and Beggars Group <\/strong>have revealed plans for a new Recycled Vinyl Campaign.<\/p>\n The labels represent the spine of the independent music sector, and each have taken strides to reduce their carbon footprint. For record labels, vinyl production is their biggest form of waste, but fresh techniques have helped to bring this down.<\/p>\n Now the label groups have partnered with Music Declares Emergency<\/strong> and The Music Climate Pact<\/strong> for a new Recycled Vinyl Campaign.<\/p>\n On June 5th \u2013 World Environment Day \u2013 the labels will unveil a series of releases, each pressed on discarded and reused vinyl.<\/p>\n Utilising 100% reclaimed material, it\u2019s an ambitious initiative featuring some amazing releases.<\/p>\n Available at retail in the US, Canada and UK, as well as DTC, the eclectic list moves from Black Country, New Road to Bonobo via Dinosaur Jr. and Bon Iver.<\/p>\n Ben Swanson, Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer, Secretly Group<\/strong>, comments:<\/p>\n \u201cManufacturing is typically the highest source of carbon emissions for record labels, and through working closely with our vinyl plants, Secretly Group has cut our manufacturing footprint by 70% against our 2023 baseline.
