The FBI <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/fbi-americans-crypto-scams-losses\">reported earlier this month that Americans&#8217; losses<\/a> from crypto- and AI-related scams in 2025 exceeded $11 billion, with investment scams the most damaging.<\/p>\n<figure><img alt src=\"https:\/\/s3-images.ctmedia.io\/media\/content\/pasted-image-1311.png\" width=\"722\" height=\"772\" data-original=\"https:\/\/s3-images.ctmedia.io\/media\/content\/pasted-image-1311.png\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"><\/figure>\n<p><em>Source: <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/USAO_DC\/status\/2062268934842151275\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><em>US Attorney DC<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know crypto sometimes gets an unfair reputation when it comes to illicit finance. The collective effort of these tech companies enabled the operation to target and disrupt criminals at nearly every point in the fraud chain.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Authorities around the world have been <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/us-scam-center-task-force-restrainscrypto-in-southeast-asia-crackdown\">heavily targeting scam infrastructure<\/a> this year.
