Megan Thee Stallion Quitting Broadway’s \u2018Moulin Rouge\u2019 After Klay Thompson Breakup<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The show will have to go on without Megan Thee Stallion<\/a> <\/strong>earlier than expected.<\/p>\n The “Hot Girl Summer” rapper announced on April 27 that she was shortening her eight-week run as nightclub owner Zidler in the Broadway production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n “Hotties, my last performance as Zidler in @moulinrougebway will be May 1,” Megan\u2014who was initially scheduled to end her run on May 17\u2014wrote on Instagram<\/a>. “It\u2019s been such an honor to be part of thee Moulin Rouge<\/em> family and I\u2019ve met so many amazing people in this theater!”<\/p>\n “Y\u2019all work so hard and I have so much respect for the dedication, the stamina, the work ethic, the time and the effort y\u2019all put into the work,” she continued. “I\u2019m so grateful for the cast and crew that made this experience so meaningful. And to all the Hotties that showed up or planned to attend, thank you for supporting me during this incredible journey! I LOVE YALL.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Megan, 31, did not provide a reason to her early exit from the show. However, her month-long run had been marred with complications, including a brief hospitalization<\/a> for what her rep described as “extreme exhaustion and dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels<\/a>” as well as her recent breakup with boyfriend Klay Thompson<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n “I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” Megan told E!
