And a select few think outer space is interested in them too.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOver the last decade, alleged UFO sightings have become more frequent, thanks in part to cell phone cameras and social media allowing for easier documentation of bizarre events. And the conspiracy theories around aliens are not limited to internet-obsessed tin foil hat wearers. <\/p>\n<p>\n\tA number of celebrities have shared their thoughts and personal experiences with aliens, making a compelling argument for extraterrestrial life.\u00a0Tom DeLonge of Blink-182 fame, for example, has spent decades researching the matter. The first instance of DeLonge\u2019s alien obsession being made known publicly was in 1999, with Blink-182\u2019s aptly named single \u201cAliens Exist.\u201d Turns out the song wasn\u2019t just a fun play on a favorite sci-fi topic; it was a confession of DeLonge\u2019s beliefs. Over the following two decades, DeLonge would go on to talk about the existence of alien life in countless interviews. There are so many instances of DeLonge referencing the extraterritorial that <em>Billboard<\/em> was able to compile <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/rock\/tom-delonge-ufo-timeline-8071145\/\">a list <\/a>of every time the pop-punk star mentioned our friends from above.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tDeLonge is not the only musician to talk about aliens and encountering them. Though not as zealous as the Blink-182 member, several artists have also shared their alien encounters with the public. Demi Lovato even once hung out with \u201cone of the world\u2019s foremost authority figures regarding Extraterrestrial Intelligence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFrom the aforementioned DeLonge and Lovato to Kacey Musgraves, here are a few musicians who\u2019ve talked about their interactions with the extraterrestrial.<\/p>\n<div id=\"pmc-gallery-vertical\">\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h2>Music <strong>Tom DeLonge<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tThe former Blink-182 star is perhaps Hollywood\u2019s biggest UFO advocate, spearheading decades of research on the topic and efforts to publicize sightings. This planet is on a very negative path towards destruction but WE can change that together. If we were to get 1% of the population to meditate and make contact, we would force our governments to acknowledge the truth about extraterrestrial life among us and change our destructive habits destroying our planet. This is just some of the evidence from under the stars in the desert sky that can no longer be ignored and must be shared immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn January 2021, Lovato uploaded another\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CKHrLzBhSB_\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Instagram video<\/a>, in which she\u2019s heard off-camera saying, \u201cAnother day, another UFO sighting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cWow,\u201d she says as the camera follows unidentified lights in the sky, ping-ponging in the air in broad daylight. \u201cWhat the f\u2014. They\u2019re coming.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h2>Music <strong>Kesha<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tKesha included several spaceships on her 2017\u00a0<em>Rainbow<\/em>\u00a0album cover after experiencing a UFO sighting. In an interview on the\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=R7LoDjH0ahI\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Zach Sang Show<\/a><\/em>\u00a0she didn\u2019t mention an actual encounter with any extraterrestrials, but she\u00a0<em>did<\/em>\u00a0see what looked like \u201clittle balls of fire in the sky.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cI was in Joshua Tree, totally sober, let me preface \u2014 completely f\u2014ing sober \u2026 I think people would be like, \u2018She was on acid\u2019 or something. I wasn\u2019t.\u00a0I was on nothing.\u00a0I was a totally sober Sally, just a lady in the desert,\u201d Kesha\u00a0said.\u00a0\u201cI look up in the sky and there\u2019s a bunch of spaceships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cI swear to God, there were like five to seven, and I don\u2019t know why I didn\u2019t like try to take a picture of it \u2014 I just looked at it,\u201d she continued. \u201cI was sitting on a rock, and I was like, \u2018What in the hell is that?\u2019 I was trying to figure it out, and then they went away. And then they came back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe singer found a \u201cnew hobby\u201d at the beginning of 2021 after chatting with fellow UFO-believer Demi Lovato on her podcast,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.iheart.com\/podcast\/1119-kesha-and-the-creepies-73389791\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><em>Kesha and the Creepies<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI\u00a0loved the conversation we had because\u2026 there were a couple books she mentioned and an app she mentioned that I immediately downloaded,\u201d the \u201cHigh Road\u201d singer told\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.etonline.com\/kesha-on-how-demi-lovato-inspired-her-new-hobby-of-summoning-aliens-exclusive-159053\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><em>ET<\/em><\/a>. \u201d\u2026 [I told my family,] \u2018All I want for Christmas is for us all to meditate and try to channel extraterrestrials.\u2019\u00a0And they\u2019re like, \u2018OK.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cI\u2019m like trying to get all my friends and family into meditating the aliens to us.\u00a0It\u2019s my new hobby because of Demi Lovato,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h2>Music Nick Jonas<\/h2>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tKesha isn\u2019t the only singer influenced by Lovato. While appearing on\u00a0<em>Late Night With Seth Meyers\u00a0<\/em>in 2015, Nick Jonas shared that he and his fellow former Disney Channel star \u201chave talked about [UFOs] a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am on board. When I was 14 maybe, I was in my backyard playing basketball with some friends, and I looked up in the sky and there was three flying saucers,\u201d he shared of his personal experience with otherworldly life. \u201cThis is Hollywood, so everyone was like, \u2018It\u2019s a movie, it\u2019s a movie set.\u2019 I was convinced it was real, and I looked up online and there was three identical sightings in other states. So, I am a firm believer in aliens.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h2>Music <strong>Machine Gun Kelly<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tIn August 2020, MGK teamed up with Travis Barker for a collaboration titled \u201cConcert for Aliens,\u201d and in the accompanying animated lyric video, the duo escape a group of \u201cspace invaders,\u201d stealing a UFO before they crash land on Mars. Making the most of their new living situation, the duo win over the aliens by throwing them a banging pop-punk concert.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe video\u2019s extraterrestrial theme is not random for MGK, who is a strong believer in life outside of Earth. In a January 2021 interview for\u00a0<em>Late Late Show With James Corden<\/em>, the star shared, \u201cHomie, I saw life on this planet that was from another planet two nights ago, over a lake in Thousand Oaks. A red orb came out of nowhere, went and disappeared again.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h2>Music Miley Cyrus<\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tIn October 2020, Cyrus discussed extraterrestrial life with\u00a0\u00a0Rick Owens for\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.interviewmagazine.com\/fashion\/rick-owens-and-miley-cyrus-discuss-ufos-rock-stars-tour-bus-moncler\"><em>Interview Magazine<\/em>,<\/a>\u00a0following the designer\u2019s collaborative experiment with Italian label Moncler, in which he decked out a custom vehicle and matching attire for a road trip from Los Angeles to Nevada.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn the conversation, Owens admitted that he doesn\u2019t \u201creally\u201d believe in extraterrestrial beings, \u201cit seems a little arrogant to assume there\u2019s nobody else but us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cThat\u2019s what I f\u2014ing think!\u201d Cyrus replied, before sharing that she\u2019s had her own experience with otherworldly life.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cI was driving through San Bernardino with my friend, and I got chased down by some sort of UFO,\u201d she explained, before cheekily adding, \u201cI\u2019m pretty sure about what I saw, but I\u2019d also bought weed wax from a guy in a van in front of a taco shop, so it could have been the weed wax. But the best way to describe it is a flying snowplow. It had this big plow in the front of it and was glowing yellow. I did see it flying, and my friend saw it, too. There were a couple of other cars on the road and they also stopped to look, so I think what I saw was real.\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tShe added that she didn\u2019t feel threatened by the experience at all. \u201cI did see a being sitting in the front of the flying object,\u201d she said. \u201cIt looked at me and we made eye contact, and I think that\u2019s what really shook me, looking into the eyes of something that I couldn\u2019t quite wrap my head around. But you\u2019re so right to say that it\u2019s a form of narcissism to think that we\u2019re the only things that could be in this vast universe.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h2>Music <strong>Post Malone<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tIn August 2020, Post Malone was a guest on the\u00a0<em>Joe Rogan Experience<\/em>\u00a0podcast, where the rapper discussed a number of past experiences with UFO sightings.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cI was probably 16, in upstate New York, and it would just stay there [in the sky],\u201d he said \u201cMy aunt and uncle were very strict and we had to go to bed at a very strict deadline probably 10 p.m. I was looking out the window with my cousin and it\u2019s just a light that stays there and then just f\u2014ing goes off. Just \u2018whoosh,\u2019 you can\u2019t explain it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cI used to live in Tarzana,\u201d he continued of another experience in Los Angeles. \u201cThere was a balcony, and it sounds corny, but there was a classic force field. When you think of a force field, and it\u2019s kinda like a dome, in a circular shape and it just [quickly] goes back in. In Tarzana, looking down at the f\u2014ing city. I\u2019m like, \u2018how did nobody else see this?\u2019 But I was there with four other people and they saw it, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h2>Music <strong>Alicia Keys<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tIn an October 2013 interview with\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzfeed.com\/jordanzakarin\/alicia-keys-believes-aliens-are-on-earth\"><em>Buzzfeed<\/em>,<\/a>\u00a0the Grammy-winning singer shared that not only does she believe in aliens, but she also thinks \u201cthey\u2019re here [on Earth] now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve met some serious aliens in my life, for sure,\u201d she joked. \u201cI\u2019m sure you\u2019ve seen a UFO. Haven\u2019t all of us seen something flying in the sky, and it\u2019s at some random time of night that doesn\u2019t make sense, and it\u2019s not the shape of a plane?\u201d<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/\"><br \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h2>Music Kacey Musgraves<\/h2>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tIt shouldn\u2019t be to anyone\u2019s surprise that someone whose Instagram handle is @spaceykacey would believe in the extraterrestrial.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn an Instagram Story shared on April 10, 2026, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/artist\/kacey-musgraves\/\">Kacey Musgraves <\/a>recounted a flight during which she swore she saw alien spaceships, calling the encounter the \u201ccraziest f\u2013king orb UFO experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cWe just watched these orbs \u2014 there were three of them \u2014 but I was about to lay down and take a nap and saw these lights that caught my eye and just didn\u2019t look normal,\u201d Musgraves said. \u201cThese orbs were not moving like any craft we can control. They were intermittently coming and going, forming triangle patterns. Sometimes they would get extremely bright and change color, change size.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tMusgraves shared that she watched the orbs for a whole 45 minutes and that they trailed her flight from around Little Rock to Nashville.
