The Brazilian No. 10’s 2g\/3a performance on Saturday powered the Orange & Blue to a 6-2 home rout<\/a> of Orlando City<\/a>. In the process, he set the club record<\/a> for most goal contributions in a regular-season match.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the two-time Landon Donovan MLS MVP finalist became the ninth player in league history<\/a> with at least five goal contributions in a regular-season match.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a nice way to go into the break,\u201d head coach Pat Noonan told reporters after the final whistle at TQL Stadium. \u201cWe attacked in a really good way and scored a lot of goals against a really good Orlando team.<\/p>\n

Cincy head into the 2026 FIFA World Cup<\/a> break with their Evander-led attack firing on all cylinders.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Orange & Blue have scored at least two goals in each of their past eight games, taking part in three straight goal-fests decided by six tallies or more.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Evander’s been at the center of it all, delivering 7g\/5a in the club’s last five matches.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen he\u2019s on the ball and in space, everyone comes to life,\u201d said Noonan, who made history<\/a> on Matchday 15 by equalling Seattle Sounders FC<\/a>‘s Brian Schmetzer as the fastest MLS coach to reach 75 regular-season wins.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can feel the energy in the stadium, the energy that he provided with movement of the ball, with the 1-v-1 moments where he creates separation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Offensive powerhouse<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

After a slow start to the season amid a 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup<\/a> run, Cincinnati have a 3W-1L-2D record over their last six games and boast a league-best 36 goals.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Evander, who recently broke the MLS\u00a0record<\/a> for most goals scored by a Brazilian-born player, has a club joint-best nine goals along with club-record signing K\u00e9vin Denkey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Once league action resumes in July following the World Cup pause, the Orange & Blue will look to rise in the Eastern Conference standings. They’re currently seventh with 20 points (5W-5L-5D record).<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard to win, it\u2019s hard to score six goals,\u201d Noonan said.<\/p>\n
