Gwyneth Paltrow’s Daughter Apple Martin Makes Directorial Debut With Student Show<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Apple Martin<\/strong> doesn\u2019t fall far from the tree.<\/p>\n Gwyneth Paltrow<\/strong><\/a> and Chris Martin<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s daughter will be following in her mom\u2019s acting footsteps and making her movie debut in Nancy Meyers<\/strong>\u2019 upcoming film, Deadline<\/em><\/a> and Entertainment Weekly<\/a><\/em> reported on May 18.<\/p>\n The 22-year-old\u2014who graduated from Vanderbilt University earlier this month\u2014will star alongside an A-list ensemble cast, including Pen\u00e9lope Cruz<\/strong>, Kieran Culkin<\/strong>, Jude Law<\/strong>, Owen Wilson<\/strong>, Tony Hale<\/strong> and Erin Doherty<\/strong>, in the film originally called Paris Paramount<\/em>, according to both outlets. The movie is set to premiere in December 2027, marking Nancy’s first feature film since The Intern<\/em> in 2015.<\/p>\n While the specific plot details of Nancy’s semi-autobiographical story and what role Apple will play in it are being kept under lock and key, the filmmaker\u2014best known for writing The Holiday<\/em>, Something\u2019s Gotta Give<\/em> and It\u2019s Complicated<\/em>\u2014previously shared a couple of hints about what viewers could expect back in 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n “The movie is about a group of people making a film and the magic and mystery of what we do,” Nancy told fans on Instagram<\/a>, noting that the then-title derived from “a quote by the brilliant and elegant comedy director” Ernst Lubitsch<\/strong>, who Nancy generously dubbed “the creator of the romantic comedy.\u201d<\/p>\n “I’ve been to Paris, France and I’ve been to Paris, Paramount,” Ernst once said, concluding, “Frankly, I prefer Paris, Paramount.”<\/p>\n Should the potential romantic comedy take place in the city of Paris, it wouldn’t be Apple’s first time turning heads in the European city.
