Happy hour came late for Sam Sarver<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n The 23-year-old forward\u2019s legend grew exponentially in FC Dallas<\/a>\u2019 3-2 win<\/a> over the San Jose Earthquakes<\/a> Saturday night at PayPal Park.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n After scoring a stoppage-time goal to secure a 3-1 win<\/a> over Real Salt Lake<\/a> in Matchday 12, Sarver ran it back with a 93rd-minute winner against the Quakes.\u00a0<\/p>\n He got in behind the San Jose defense before tucking the match-winner inside the far post. But the fun didn’t stop there, as the former\u00a0MLS NEXT Pro<\/a> standout celebrated his goal in epic fashion.\u00a0<\/p>\n Sarver gathered teammates along the signage boards behind the goal and scuba-dived over them. And I was like, \u2018it\u2019d be funny if we did that,\u2019\u201d Sarver said after the match.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cAnd then after we did that, they were throwing some beers on the field, so I decided to chug one.\u201d<\/p>\n The goal was Sarver\u2019s third in his last four matches, coming off the bench each time to make an impact.<\/p>\n What was FC Dallas coach Eric Quill\u2019s message to Sarver when he stepped onto the field?\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWell, it wasn\u2019t to chug a beer after he scored, if that\u2019s what you\u2019re asking. But the kid is electric. He knows how to score goals, he knows how to be in the right spot, and his pace is high-level,\u201d he told reporters after the match.<\/p>\n \u201cHis efficiency in front of goal is top class, and he\u2019s fun to watch, not just because of his ability but because of who he is as a person. I couldn\u2019t be more proud of him.
