Recently surfaced text messages suggest that Texas Congressman Tony Gonzales persistently sought a sexual relationship with a second aide, years prior to the scandalous affair that ultimately derailed his political career.<\/p>\n

In a trove of alleged text exchanges from 2020, the Texas Republican is seen repeatedly requesting nude photographs and attempting to start a sexual liaison with his then-political director. At one point, he explicitly expressed a desire for her to \u2018squeeze my balls.\u2019<\/p>\n

These messages, obtained by the San Antonio Express News<\/a>, emerge just weeks after Gonzales withdrew from his congressional re-election campaign. This decision followed the exposure of his affair with another staffer, who tragically took her own life by self-immolation.<\/p>\n

The Daily Mail first uncovered the affair in October 2025, shortly after Regina Aviles\u2019s tragic suicide in the backyard of her home in Uvalde.<\/p>\n

Throughout both incidents involving his aides, Gonzales remained married to his wife, Angel. The couple has six children together.<\/p>\n

Gonzales did not immediately respond to Daily Mail\u2019s request for comment on the 2020 allegations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The woman involved in the 2020 texts \u2013 who is not named in the report \u2013 said she came forward after Aviles\u2019 death, telling the paper, \u2018This behavior needs to stop.\u2019<\/p>\n

During one late-night conversation between Gonzales and the staffer in 2020, the congressman pressured her for nude photos.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201947 nos is about my limit,\u2019 Gonzales said after being turned down.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, the next day he pressured her again to send naked pictures.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018I know what I want and won\u2019t stop until I get it,\u2019 Gonzales said in June 15, 2020 message.<\/p>\n

The staffer sent back a facepalm emoji.<\/p>\n

\u2018You better do that in\u00a0Congress. And take me with you,\u2019 she added.<\/p>\n

At the time of the 2020 texts, Gonzales was running in a heated primary in his first ever bid to represent Texas\u2019s 23rd Congressional district.<\/p>\n

The woman claims she never had a sexual relationship with Gonzales, however, she did admit he paid her late-night visits at her house.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018Want me to come over again,\u2019 Gonzales says in one 2020 text.<\/p>\n

\u2018If I come over though, your panties are coming off.\u2019<\/p>\n

Gonzales and his wife, Angel, casted their ballots in early March, a photo shared on Gonzales\u2019s social media shows<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Messages between the two appear to show he did not stay the night.<\/p>\n

\u2018Okay you have two options\u2026 I left (as I did) and we continue the mystery,\u2019 Gonzales text her.<\/p>\n

\u2018I stayed and we f\u2014ed like rabbits. Which one would you choose?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Leave. And let the mystery build,\u2019 she replied.<\/p>\n

She also admitted to participating in sending inappropriate messages.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m not totally innocent in all this,\u2019 she told the Express-News, adding that she regretted having \u2018played him.\u2019<\/p>\n

However, the retired Navy officer did not take the rejection well.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u2018I don\u2019t do well not being wanted,\u2019 he wrote before asking her for a nude he did not get.<\/p>\n

The former campaign worker explained that by October 2020, their relationship had become cold, but she continued working for him until November when he won his first seat in Congress.<\/p>\n

Gonzales did not hire her to be part of his congressional staff when he went to Washington, DC.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The three-term congressman from Texas one heavily promoted his regular TV news appearances on his social media accounts, but now shuns the media\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Regina Aviles admitted to having an affair with her married boss, Rep. Tony Gonzales, in a text message to a friend shared with Daily Mail by the pal<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Earlier this month, Gonzales shared a photo of him leaving the White House on his social media before his fall from grace<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Gonzales is serving out his final months in office after being forced to drop out of his re-election race after the affair with Aviles was revealed by Daily Mail.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Several elected officials and constituents in his Texas district tell Daily Mail Gonzales has stopped performing some of his duties despite continuing to receive his $174,000 yearly congressional salary.<\/p>\n

Gonzales is not responding to at least some of his constituents and is shunning media attention, according to multiple people interviewed by the Daily Mail.<\/p>\n

Amid mounting pressure from his Republican colleague, Gonzales finally admitted to cheating on his wife a day after coming in second in a razor-tight March 3 primary.<\/p>\n

The US Speaker of the House then called on Gonzales to drop out of the race- leaving a clear path for his opponent Brandon Herrera to move forward in the general election to represent the district.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s currently under investigation for his relationship with Aviles, accused of violating House rules which prohibit members of Congress from having sex with their staffers.<\/p>\n

However, Gonzales appears to intend to finish out his term in office, which ends in January.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
