Joseph Duggar utilized some of his time in jail by focusing on fitness.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve started working out,\u201d Joseph, 31, shared with his wife, Kendra Duggar, during a phone conversation from his recent incarceration at the Washington County Sheriff\u2019s Office in Arkansas, as reported by Us Weekly<\/i>. \u201cI\u2019m doing my burn bootcamp-style workout now.\u201d<\/p>\n

He elaborated that he was confined to a \u201cseven by 11-style\u201d cell and was keen on staying active.<\/p>\n

\u201cI figured I might as well do something,\u201d the former Counting On<\/i> star told Kendra, 27, in the call. \u201cI\u2019m doing squats and push-ups. I can do dips off the edge of the bed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joseph Duggar offered insights into his life behind bars at the Washington County Detention Facility in Arkansas during a conversation with his wife, Kendra Duggar. \u201cI\u2019ve been spending a lot of time reading, uh, reading the Bible. They got me a Bible in here,\u201d Joseph, 31, mentioned to Kendra, 27, during the call.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In addition to his daily workout, Joseph also tried to avoid eating \u201cjunk\u201d food.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not eating, like, hardly any of the bready stuff. I\u2019m trying not to eat junk, mostly just eat the veggies and the protein stuff,\u201d he told Kendra. \u201cThere was this chicken sandwich thing that was breaded, but I ate the bread and the breaded chicken. I\u2019m trying to focus on just doing that, and hopefully I\u2019ll trim up some in the process.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI feel better. Don\u2019t feel as bloated as I was before.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for Kendra, she revealed that she has also been \u201ctrimming up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t gotten on the scale, but I feel a lot trimmer now,\u201d Kendra told her husband. \u201cI\u2019m not bloated either. I\u2019m gonna be \u2018skinny mini. I cannot eat. Mama keeps trying to get me to eat, but unless it\u2019s liquid, it doesn\u2019t really go down. It\u2019s been a battle.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joseph, who is one of Jim Bob <\/b>and Michelle Duggar<\/b>\u2019s 19 children, was arrested in Arkansas<\/span> on March 18 on charges of lewd and lascivious behavior after allegedly molesting a 9-year-old girl in Florida in 2020. The victim, now 14, told police that Joseph \u201ceventually apologized for his actions\u201d at the time before \u201cthe incidents stopped.\u201d<\/p>\n

News broke two days later that Joseph is also facing four counts<\/span> of endangering the welfare of a minor, second-degree, and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment. Kendra was arrested on the same charges and released on bond within hours.\u00a0 In a separate jail conversation with Joseph, Kendra revealed that she doesn\u2019t presently<\/span> have custody of their four children.<\/p>\n

A source told Us Weekly<\/i><\/span> <\/i>that Kendra\u2019s arrest is unrelated to Joseph\u2019s incarceration.<\/p>\n

\u201cKendra\u2019s arrest has nothing to do with Joseph\u2019s \u2014 although one precipitated another,\u201d the insider with knowledge of the case told Us<\/i> last month. \u201cAfter his charge, they automatically do a home study if minors live there. They came to her house. Apparently, they had two rooms where the lock of the doorknob was on the outside instead of inside. They arrested her and took her kids for that, saying it\u2019s evidence that she wrongly detains her kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joseph was extradited to Florida earlier this week, where he pleaded not guilty to the accusations. He was released on a $600,000 bond<\/span>.<\/p>\n
