[Poll]"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<figure>\n<p>\t<img width=\"1600\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2024\/05\/YouTube-icon-Google-TV.jpg?quality=82&#038;strip=all&#038;w=1600\" alt  decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"><br \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n<p>Google says that its new 30-second ad format for YouTube is now available, but only on TVs.<\/p>\n<p>YouTube has become increasingly popular on TVs in recent years, with Google now delivering a new ad format that\u2019s specific to the biggest screen in your home. \u201cVRC Non-skip\u201d ads started rolling out on March 2, Google <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.google\/products\/ads-commerce\/vrc-non-skip-ads-generally-available\/\">confirmed<\/a>, with advertisers now able to access and publish ads using the new format. <\/p>\n<p>Describing the format, Google explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Built for the big screen:<\/strong>\u00a0Non-skips are optimized for CTV delivery and ensure your message is delivered in its entirety.<\/li>\n<li><strong>AI-powered optimization:<\/strong>\u00a0Google AI dynamically optimizes between 6-second Bumpers, 15-second standard and 30-second CTV-only non-skippable ad formats, ensuring your campaign reaches the right audience at the right time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Drive better performance:<\/strong>\u00a0AI-powered precision helps drive greater efficiency across multiple non-skip ad formats, delivering more unique reach and impact compared with manual mixes of single-format campaigns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>So these new ads are designed to appear as a non-skippable video when on connected TVs, but as shorter ads when on other device types. Google\u2019s AI \u201cdynamically\u201d optimizes based on the device and content. <\/p>\n<p>These ads have been <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2025\/06\/18\/youtube-ad-blocker-slow-down-30-second-ad-expansion\/\">in testing for months<\/a> \u2013 and announced as far back <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2023\/05\/17\/youtube-tv-ads\/\">as 2023<\/a> \u2013 but this is the official, general launch of the format. That said, wide adoption won\u2019t happen overnight.<\/p>\n<p>The question, though, is around how you\u2019ll respond. YouTube ads can often feel a bit overwhelming, or at least frustrating, to the point where<a href=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/2025\/09\/18\/youtube-lower-view-counts-ad-blockers\/\"> it\u2019s clear that <em>a lot<\/em> of people use ad-blockers on the platform.<\/a> On TVs, though, that\u2019s a bit harder to do. So there are a few options.
