{"id":905989,"date":"2026-05-15T09:12:17","date_gmt":"2026-05-15T14:12:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/15\/voting-opens-for-2026-mls-all-star-game-mlssoccer-com\/"},"modified":"2026-05-15T09:12:17","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T14:12:17","slug":"voting-opens-for-2026-mls-all-star-game-mlssoccer-com","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/15\/voting-opens-for-2026-mls-all-star-game-mlssoccer-com\/","title":{"rendered":"Voting opens for 2026 MLS All-Star Game! | MLSSoccer.com"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Soccer <\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/soc.cr\/3OKblqz\" target=\"_blank\">Online voting<\/a> for the 2026 MLS All-Star Game presented by Chime has opened and will run through 11:59 pm PT on Thursday, May 21.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The annual summer showcase renews the MLS-LIGA MX rivalry as the league&#8217;s All-Stars take on a team of All-Stars from Mexico\u2019s top soccer league on Wednesday, July 29 at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlssoccer.com\/clubs\/charlotte-fc\">Charlotte FC<\/a>&#8216;s Bank of America Stadium (8 pm ET | <a href=\"https:\/\/tv.apple.com\/us\/channel\/mls-season-pass\/tvs.sbd.7000\" target=\"_blank\">Apple TV<\/a>).<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><h3>MLS All-Star Voting Process<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p>A total of 26 players will be selected for the All-Star Game, based on the following breakdown:<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>11 players<\/strong>\u00a0determined by a vote of MLS fans, players and media (one-third each).<\/li>\n<li><strong>13 players<\/strong> selected by MLS All-Star head coach Dean Smith of host club Charlotte FC.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2 players<\/strong>\u00a0selected by MLS Commissioner Don Garber.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<p>Players, fans and media will cast their votes for <strong>11\u00a0players<\/strong> in a 4-3-3 formation: one goalkeeper, one right back, two center backs, one left back, one\u00a0defensive midfielder, two attacking midfielders and three forwards\/wingers.<\/p>\n<p>The top players from each position from the combined vote will be named All-Stars.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><h3>Ballot details<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p>To qualify for the ballot, players must have appeared in at least 50 percent of their club&#8217;s regular-season matches this season at the time the ballot was created on May 13, following Matchday 12.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Non-qualifying players are still eligible:<\/strong>\u00a0Players who did not qualify for the ballot are still eligible for selection by MLS All-Star head coach Dean Smith or MLS Commissioner Don Garber.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><h3>8 days of voting<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Fans can vote on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/soc.cr\/3OKblqz\" target=\"_blank\">MLSsoccer.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Voting starts: May 13 &#8211; Noon ET<\/li>\n<li>Voting ends: May 21 &#8211; 11:59 pm ET<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fans are encouraged to share their picks on social media<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlssoccer.com\/allstar\/2026\/news\/voting-opens-2026-mls-all-star-game-charlotte\" class=\"button purchase\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Read More<\/a>Anthony Byron<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Soccer Online voting for the 2026 MLS All-Star Game presented by Chime has opened and will run through 11:59 pm PT on Thursday, May 21.
