Health Sciences North staff were recently treated to Tim Hortons Smile Cookies, coffee and hot chocolate by the Lougheed Family Foundation.<\/p>\n
The foundation said the gesture was a \u201cmeaningful way to recognize their ongoing dedication to delivering exceptional care across Northeastern Ontario.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA simple gesture, made possible by a generous donor, brings real joy to their day. You can see it in their smiles; small acts of kindness truly go a long way.\u201d<\/p>\n
Recognizing the vital role of health-care workers, the Lougheed Foundation aimed to boost morale and show appreciation through this thoughtful initiative.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Lougheed Foundation is proud to support the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign this year by providing a cookie and coffee for each of the hardworking people at HSN,\u201d said Geoffrey Lougheed.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery doctor, nurse, professional, and staff member provides outstanding care to our community. This is an opportunity, on behalf of the community, to say thank you in a tangible way for their service.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople often think of us as a funeral home or cremation centre, but our roots in healthcare go back to operating the ambulance system in Sudbury during the 1960s and 70s,\u201d said Gerry Lougheed.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have the honour of working closely with these dedicated individuals and witnessing their commitment firsthand. We salute them with this small token of appreciation. We understand the scale of the challenges healthcare teams face each day.\u201d<\/p>\n
The HSN Foundation said in a press release it is proud to be a recipient of funds raised through the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign in Greater Sudbury.<\/p>\n
Proceeds from Smile Cookie Week, running April 27 to May 3, support health-care excellence at Health Sciences North.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
