Former boxer David Haye called Adam out over not wanting to do a trial on the ITV reality series<\/h2>\n

I\u2019m A Celebrity South Africa star Adam Thomas has said that David Haye \u2018broke me\u2019 as he admitted that he \u2018wanted to quit\u2019 the ITV<\/a> reality show.<\/p>\n

On Friday (April 17) night\u2019s episode of the All Stars version<\/a> of the ITV reality series, Adam was seen lying in bed and sharing that he wasn\u2019t feeling well. TOWIE\u2019s Gemma Collins tried to cheer him up by jokingly spoon feeding him.<\/p>\n

When it came time to decide who was doing the next Bushtucker Trial, Adam, who has arthritis, said that it would be hard for him to do due to him feeling dehydrated. This led to boxer David calling him out<\/a> in front of his campmates.<\/p>\n

“Dehydrated?! We’ve all got the same amount of water! Adam is doing it and that’s it! When is your top form gonna come? Why aren’t we forcing this dude to go and do it. Coincidentally, every time there’s something to do, he’s not feeling well,\u201d David said.<\/p>\n

With Adam left visibly emotional by the comments, former queen of the jungle and Gogglebox legend Scarlett Moffatt told David to \u2018stop it\u2019. David, who has also fallen out with Gemma and Coronation Street<\/a> legend Beverly Callard during the series, added: “He’s a grown *** man. I don’t like guys when they’re a bit useless”<\/p>\n

Later in the episode, Adam <\/a>had snuck back some chocolates for the rest of camp to enjoy after the Rhinos group enjoyed their bush banquet the night before. However, David was less than impressed, telling Adam he didn’t want his empty gesture of chocolates and wasn’t happy that they had missed out on food because of it.<\/p>\n

Days after the scenes, in which Adam admitted that he was upset by David\u2019s comments, aired, Adam returned to Instagram on Sunday evening (April 19). Adam shared a lengthy post opening up about how David affected him over the course of the pre-recorded series, which will air its final on Friday night (April 25).<\/p>\n

Adam wrote: \u201cNot going to lie,this picture breaks my heart, as I know on the inside what I was dealing with and truth be told I thought it was all my fault. I now know that\u2019s not the reality\u2026 My time in I\u2019m a Celebrity South Africa was one of the toughest things I\u2019ve ever been through, physically, mentally, and emotionally.<\/p>\n

“Watching it back hasn\u2019t been easy at all. There were moments I felt pushed to my absolute limit, and if I\u2019m honest, times I didn\u2019t even recognise myself. Living with arthritis is something I don\u2019t really talk about, as much as I should do\u2026but in there it really took its toll.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy biggest fight was pretending to put on a brave face and trying to hide the pain! that can be exhausting within itself. There were days my body just didn\u2019t want to keep going, but I did.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former Emmerdale<\/a> actor continued: \u201cI won\u2019t sit here and say I handled everything perfectly, because I didn\u2019t. I wish I spoke up for myself sooner. I wish I stood my ground instead of trying to keep the peace, but I\u2019ve learned that being kind doesn\u2019t mean being weak, and sometimes it takes going through tough moments to find your voice.<\/p>\n

“Since coming out, I\u2019ve taken time to process everything, and I\u2019m in a much better place now. I let go of the anger, had the conversations I needed to have, and chose peace. “What I\u2019m most proud of, is at times like this I wanted to walk, I wanted to quit but I didn\u2019t .<\/p>\n

\u201cEven when I wanted to walk away, even when it felt like too much, I never give up! and that means everything to me. He broke me in there, he pushed me to my limits, and I\u2019ve told David this and he\u2019s apologised and that\u2019s that! I\u2019ve moved on now, am not one to hold a grudge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thanking fans for their \u2018lovely messages and all the kind words\u2019, Adam noted that \u2018we all face people and situations that try to break us\u2019. He concluded the post by pointing out that \u2018but sometimes those moments are what rebuild you stronger than ever\u2019 and to \u2018be kind\u2019.<\/p>\n

The comments section of Adam\u2019s post saw his famous family and friends rushing to commend him for his honesty when discussing the difficult time he faced in the South African jungle.<\/p>\n

Adam\u2019s brother Ryan Thomas<\/a> said: \u201cI would like to say i would stick up for you in there but hes not the guy to pick a fight with, we need to give @tonybellew a call bro.\u201d Scott Thomas added: \u201cI wish I could have been there for you my brother\u2026it makes me so angry that you went through that\u2026but I\u2019m so proud of how you\u2019ve come out of the other side of all this\u2026the strongest you\u2019ve ever been and on an incredible journey\u2026standing in your power.\u201d<\/p>\n

His campmate Scarlett wrote: \u201cAwwww Adam I bloody love you. You\u2019re one of the kindest men I know, if my little boy ends up being as caring as you then I know I\u2019ll have done a good job a mam. Lots of love.\u201d Reality TV star Jess Wright posted: \u201cYou\u2019re so lovely & came across amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts wrote: \u201cAdam bless you. You have such a big heart. I\u2019m sorry you struggled in there.\u201d Emmerdale\u2019s Danny Miller posted: \u201cYou\u2019re a beautiful man and those who really know you know what you bring to their lives. Love and laughter, you\u2019ve handled yourself incredibly as always! Love you brother.\u201d<\/p>\n
