Super Eagles striker Akor Adams<\/a> shut his critics up with a brilliant display in Sevilla’s 2-1 win over Espanyol at the Estadio Ram\u00f3n S\u00e1nchez Pizju\u00e1n yesterday evening, Soccernet.ng reports.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prior to the clash against Manolo Gonzalez’s side, the 26-year-old had only played three minutes in Sevilla’s last two games, with coach Luis Garcia stating he felt Neal Maupay and Gerard Romero could offer more in attack than the Nigerian at the moment.<\/p>\n

An early second-half goal from Espanyol’s Tyrhys Dolan meant Sevilla were now in the relegation zone, and in a frenzy, Luis Garcia made four changes.<\/p>\n

Akor Adams would be the final throw of the dice with 15 minutes left to spare, and the ex-Montpellier man didn’t disappoint. After playing a key role in Andres Lopez’s equaliser, Adams scored the winner in the 91st minute, sending the Sevilla fans wild.<\/p>\n
