\n\tSaturday Night Live<\/a><\/em> wasted no time parodying President Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s polarizing Easter social media post<\/a> about the Iran war.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe cold open kicked off with James Austin Johnson\u2019s Trump discussing the wording of the post with Ashley Padilla\u2019s Karoline Leavitt.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cStart with, \u2018Open the f-ing Strait, you crazy bastards, or you\u2019ll be living in hell.\u2019 And then at the end, maybe throw in, \u2018Praise be to Allah,’\u201d Johnson\u2019s Trump said, which prompted Padilla\u2019s Leavitt to reply, \u201cYou think I should type, \u2018Praise be to Allah,\u2019 and that\u2019s from you, the President of the United States?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYes, yes, Allah. It\u2019s a sarcastic attack on the world\u2019s largest religion,\u201d he added. \u201cThey famously have a great sense of humor about that kind of stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAs your press secretary, this puts me in a tough position, sir,\u201d Padilla\u2019s Leavitt responded. \u201cOh, don\u2019t worry about that, Karoline. Like I said to Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem right before I fired them, you\u2019re doing a terrific,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\n\tTrump went on to \u201cmake some urgent phone calls\u201d amid \u201ca lot of important things happening in the world right now.\u201d His first call was to none other than Tiger Woods (Kenan Thompson), whom he reached while he was in rehab<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHello Tiger, it\u2019s Donald. Are you playing in the Masters this weekend?\u201d he asked. \u201cNo, sir. I don\u2019t know if you\u2019ll remember, but I flipped my car and got a DUI,\u201d the faux Woods explained. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou should have told the cops we were friends. They would have let you off,\u201d Johnson\u2019s Trump said. \u201cWell, I did, and they didn\u2019t,\u201d Woods said.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIf only there was something I could have done to help. Oh well, wanna play some golf?\u201d added Johnson\u2019s Trump. The parodied president received another call and joked that he didn\u2019t recognize the number calling, and upon answering, it turned out to be his wife, Melania (played by Chloe Fineman), who was calling to get some advice on releasing a statement<\/a> to say she was not one of Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s victims.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou\u2019re calling me, that\u2019s not a good sign,\u201d he said upon answering and realizing his wife had called. \u201cListen, I decided I should do a big, random speech completely out of nowhere and say I am not Epstein victim. Is that good?\u201d Fineman\u2019s Melania asked.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDarling, I gotta admit this sounds a little insane,\u201d Johnson\u2019s Trump said. \u201cWho are you, me?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMelania continued, \u201cWell, it\u2019s not just Epstein. I thought I could also say, \u2018I, Melania Trump, in no way helped out the Gilgo Beach serial killer.’\u201d Trump argued that would \u201cmake everyone way more suspicious,\u201d to which Fineman responded, \u201cWhat if I announce I barely<\/em> partied with Diddy? Would that help?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTo close out the cold open, Johnson\u2019s Trump called Pete Hegseth\u00a0(Colin Jost) to speak about the Iran war, who offered an update: \u201cWell, rest assured, sir, Iran is as obliterated as me every Saturday night, allegedly.\u201d Jost\u2019s Hegseth then inquired if he was \u201cactually negotiating with these herbs?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou know what, don\u2019t worry about the negotiations. I just heard they\u2019re going really, really bad,\u201d Johnson\u2019s Trump said. \u201cI sent in my secret weapon, JD Vance. After those Iranians spent 20 hours talking to JD, they said, \u2018Please, sir, just go back to bombing us.’\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tColman Domingo<\/a> served as the host of the night, and he utilized his opening monologue to set all the vibes on set of the sketch comedy series. He began by recounting the past projects he\u2019s starred in, arguing that \u201csure, I\u2019m an actor, but what I\u2019m most known for is when you come to my house, the vibes are spectacular. And tonight, I\u2019m gonna make you feel like you\u2019re at my house. So let\u2019s get a vibe going!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Euphoria<\/em> actor began by adding in music, shifting the stage lighting and even adjusting the camera angle to set the mood. Jeremy Culhane also joined in on the fun, utilizing Domingo\u2019s new setup, before the host went into the audience to make sure \u201cthe vibe is working for our guests.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe two-time Oscar nominee\u2019s SNL<\/a><\/em> appearance arrived a day before he starred in the highly-anticipated third season of Euphoria<\/em>. Next up, he will also lend his acting talents to the Michael Jackson biopic Michael<\/em>, where he is set to portray Joe Jackson, the Jackson family patriarch.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Sing Sing<\/em> actor made his hosting debut on the April 11 show, where he was joined by Anitta<\/a> as musical guest. There are only three more episodes<\/a> left of season 51; Grammy winner Olivia Rodrigo will pull double duty on May 2; Matt Damon will host on May 9, alongside Noah Kahan; and Will Ferrell will lead the May 16 season finale, with Paul McCartney as musical guest.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
