Sabrina Carpenter<\/strong> has apologised for failing to recognise an Arabic Zaghrouta cheer from the Coachella audience.<\/p>\n The pop star played a scintillating set at the Californian desert festival, with Sabrina Carpenter <\/strong>packing a slew of hits into her hour-long performance<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n With some daring outfits \u2013 including a near-nude boysuit \u2013 and a special guest turn from iconic actress Susan Sarandon<\/strong>, it was a Coachella set for the ages<\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n However at one point Sabrina Carpenter \u2013 who wore in-ears for most of the set \u2013 failed to recognise an Arabic Zaghrouta cheer from the crowd, and this slightly awkward response swiftly went viral.<\/p>\n With one viral tweet<\/a><\/span><\/strong> calling her \u201cinsensitive and Islamophobic\u201d the American artist opted to publicly apologise, stating that she couldn\u2019t see or hear the audience properly at that moment.<\/p>\n my apologies i didn\u2019t see this person with my eyes and couldn\u2019t hear clearly. my reaction was pure confusion, sarcasm and not ill intended. could have handled it better! now i know what a Zaghrouta is!
