If he leaves the Parc des Princes this summer, PSG will move quickly to bring in a striker who fits Enrique’s tactical demands.

Osimhen appears to tick every box. The Super Eagles forward has built a reputation as one of the most complete No. 9s in world football. His blend of pace, strength and relentless pressing makes him a constant threat, especially in elite levels like the UEFA Champions League.

PSG are believed to want a striker who can stretch defences, dominate inside the penalty area and take responsibility in decisive moments, all qualities Osimhen has shown consistently over the past two seasons.

Nigeria and Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen. Copyright: DavidxBlunsden /IMAGO

Soccer Osimhen: PSG weigh €150m move

The financial side of the deal is significant. Reports suggest PSG have already explored offers in the region of €100 million, but Galatasaray are holding firm at around €150 million for their star striker, who remains under contract in Istanbul until 2029.

That valuation reflects Osimhen’s remarkable output. He has delivered 20 goals and eight assists in 32 matches this season, continuing the form that made him one of Europe’s most feared forwards. During the previous campaign, he scored 26 league goals in 30 appearances to lead the Turkish giants to a league and cup double.

Galatasaray are in a strong negotiating position. Having signed Osimhen permanently from Napoli in 2025, they are under no pressure to sell and have no active release clause in his contract. Any deal will require PSG to meet both the transfer fee and the player’s high wage demands, which are believed to be between €15 million and €18 million per year.

Victor Osimhen. Copyright: xNicolòxCampoxIMAGO

Despite the cost, PSG see Osimhen as a low-risk investment in football terms. His previous experience in France with LOSC Lille gives him a crucial advantage as he already understands the pace, physicality and demands of Ligue 1.

That familiarity could allow him to make an immediate impact, something PSG are keen to secure after mixed results in recent European campaigns.

PSG, the reigning European champions, face Bayern Munich tonight at the Allianz Arena in the second leg of their semifinal UEFA Champions League clash. The French kings hold a 5-4 advantage from the first leg and will look to reach the final where Arsenal already await.

<img alt="Imhonlamhen” src=”https://soccernet.ng/thumbor/UeZ4EmE35a2sJHCDcRne0Ycx5DA=/150×150/smart/https%3A%2F%2Fmedia.soccernet.ng%2Fmain%2F2024%2F12%2FDSC_0327-copy.jpg”  height=”80″ width=”80″>

Imhonlamhen

    Imhonlamhen is a football writer and editor at Soccernet.ng with over six years’ experience shaping its editorial voice.
