Ariana Grande<\/a> is saying \u201cYes, and?\u201d to life. After months of statements<\/a> indicating she was taking a hiatus from music to focus on acting, Grande appears to be teasing a new album ahead of her Eternal Sunshine Tour<\/a> this summer. On Wednesday, Grande posted a carousel of her in the stu. Cans? On. Board? Mixing. Tools? Pro. TMZ<\/a> is claiming to have sources promising AG8 this summer. Billboard<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>on the other hand, cites a new outgoing message on the Brighter Days hotline: \u201cOur staff here at Brighter Days are so looking forward to continuing our mission of bringing happiness and healing to as many as we can this summer in person,\u201d she says. \u201cWe\u2019re counting down the eights \u2014 oops! I mean, the days.\u201d<\/p>\n

These teases run counter to the messaging Grande has been putting out since last year about not <\/em>doing another album anytime soon. On Good Hang<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>Grande told Amy Poehler the Eternal Sunshine Tour would be the last she did for a \u201clong, long, long, long time.\u201d But it\u2019s possible her \u201clast hurrah\u201d is just for touring, not releasing music. \u201cI spent so much time only doing pop music, but I grew up as a girl who loved musical theater and comedy,\u201d she told Poehler. \u201cI think the thing that will be best for my soul and also my art, and for what I\u2019m giving myself to, is if I\u2019m chasing things that sort of feel just very right in the moment, even if it\u2019s spontaneous.\u201d AG8 could be a spontaneous thing? In January of this year, she told Variety<\/em><\/a> <\/em>that she\u2019d had no time to record an album. \u201cNothing is coming before May. I love them so much,\u201d she said of the Arianators, \u201cbut sometimes I want to ask, \u2018Do you think there\u2019s another version of me out there who had time to write an album?\u2019 Not yet \u2014 but soon enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
