YouTube creator DirectorFeng is back with another ASMR-themed video in which they attempt to upgrade the storage on a new Apple device. Watch it below.<\/p>\n

Last year, we covered<\/a> DirectorFeng\u2019s attempt to upgrade the iPhone 17 Pro Max to 2TB of storage, which ran into NAND incompatibility issues.<\/p>\n

Still, the ASMR-themed teardown video made for an interesting watch, if you\u2019re into that sort of thing.<\/p>\n

Now, DirectorFeng is back with a new \u201cimmersive teardown\u201d in which they successfully upgrade a 256GB MacBook Neo<\/a> to 1TB.<\/p>\n

The process, however, was not at all simple. After detaching the logic board and revealing its innards, DirectorFeng desolders the MacBook Neo<\/a>\u2019s 256GB NAND chip, cleans everything up, and then solders in a 1TB replacement.<\/p>\n

After everything is put back together, DirectorFeng boots the MacBook Neo<\/a>, goes through the necessary DFU steps with the help of a second Mac, and finally shows the details of their new 1TB MacBook Neo<\/a> in System Settings.<\/p>\n
