RKX International to hold musical in Tokyo to commemorate franchise<\/a><\/cite>‘s 10th anniversary<\/p>\n

This year’s 19th issue of Shueisha<\/a><\/cite>‘s Weekly Shonen Jump<\/a><\/cite> magazine announced on Monday that Kaiu Shirai<\/a><\/cite> and Posuka Demizu<\/a><\/cite>‘s The Promised Neverland<\/a><\/cite><\/cite> manga is inspiring a musical stage play in winter 2026. Theater group RKX International (musical versions of Kiki’s Delivery Service<\/a><\/cite>, Winnie-the-Pooh, Shrek)<\/i> will perform “Musical The Promised Neverland<\/cite>” in Tokyo.<\/p>\n

The musical will commemorate the franchise<\/a><\/cite>‘s 10th anniversary. The theater group will host full auditions for the roles of Emma, Norman, and Ray.<\/p>\n

Shirai and Demizu launched<\/a> the manga in Shueisha<\/cite>‘s Weekly Shonen Jump<\/cite><\/cite> magazine in August 2016, and the series ended<\/a> in June 2020. Shueisha<\/cite> published the manga’s 20th and final volume in October 2020.<\/p>\n

Viz Media<\/a><\/cite> publishes the manga digitally and in print in North America. MANGA Plus<\/a><\/cite> also publishes the manga digitally in English.<\/p>\n

The first anime adaptation premiered<\/a> in January 2019. Aniplex of America<\/a><\/cite> streamed<\/a> the anime on Crunchyroll<\/a><\/cite>, Hulu<\/a><\/cite>, Funimation<\/a><\/cite>, and<\/a> HIDIVE<\/a><\/cite> as it aired. <\/p>\n

The second season of The Promised Neverland<\/cite><\/cite> premiered<\/a> in January 2021. Funimation<\/cite> streamed<\/a> the series as it aired in Japan.<\/p>\n

A live-action film<\/a> of the manga premiered<\/a> in December 2020. <\/p>\n
