Nigerian singer Zlatan Ibile<\/strong><\/a> has opened up about the challenges he faced with his parents while rising to fame in the music industry.<\/p>\n

Speaking during an interview, the music star revealed that his parents initially doubted the source of his wealth, especially after he bought his first house in 2019 at the age of 25 to gift them, shortly after his breakthrough.<\/p>\n

According to him, they believed the money was linked to internet fraud.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy parents refused to live in the first house I bought in Lekki because they thought it was fraud money\u2026 I had to print my account statement to show them I am being honest,\u201d<\/em> Zlatan said.<\/p>\n

Zlatan also revealed how strict his upbringing was, noting that even as an adult,<\/strong> <\/a>his parents still enforced him to live with them.<\/p>\n

He explained that they placed restrictions on his lifestyle, including curfews and personal choices, despite his growing success.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey later told me that if they have to come, they will do a seven days prayers to confirm if it\u2019s from God. When they finally agreed to move in, they gave me a condition that I would also live with them,\u201d<\/em> he added.<\/p>\n

The revelation has sparked reactions online, with many relating to strict African parenting, while others praised his parents for trying to guide him despite his fame and wealth.<\/p>\n
