Fulham boss Marco Silva has provided an\u00a0early\u00a0injury\u00a0update on Alex Iwobi after the Nigerian midfielder was forced off during their goalless draw against Brentford on Saturday,\u00a0Soccernet.ng<\/u><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n Iwobi, making his 318th Premier League appearance, started the game brightly but lasted just 43 minutes before pulling up with what looked like a hamstring\u00a0injury and\u00a0was replaced by fellow Nigerian Samuel Chukwueze.<\/p>\n The 29-year-old\u00a0initially went down after chasing a loose ball\u00a0in the 41st minute and although he\u00a0was unable to\u00a0continue, there was some relief as he managed to walk off the pitch\u00a0without help.<\/p>\n Fulham\u00a0clearly felt his absence\u00a0and missed\u00a0his creativity,\u00a0as they\u00a0struggled to find\u00a0their rhythm in attack and failed to register a single shot on target at the Gtech Community Stadium, while Brentford had the better chances and were denied a win by the impressive Bernd Leno.<\/p>\n The result leaves\u00a0them\u00a0sitting 12th\u00a0on the standings, although they are only three points behind the Bees in seventh place with only a few matches remaining this season.<\/p>\n Speaking after the match,\u00a0Marco Silva admitted\u00a0that Iwobi\u2019s\u00a0injury might not be too serious\u00a0as initially feared, although further scans would be required to determine the extent of the problem.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cFirst reaction I got from Alex \u2013 it’s not so bad, but in the next 24-48 hours, we will be more clear about it.
