If you can\u2019t beat \u2019em, join \u2019em. After losing to UConn in heartbreaking fashion in the NCAA Tournament, former Duke Blue Devils forward Nik Khamenia decided to transfer to the Huskies on Saturday after a visit earlier this week.<\/p>\n
Khamenia is a 6-foot-8 rising sophomore who was a former top-15 recruit, so the move drew strong reactions from the college basketball world.<\/p>\n
At Duke, Khamenia played all 38 games, averaging 5.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game while shooting 44.4% from the field and 34% from 3-point range for the 35-3 squad. While his numbers don\u2019t jump off the page, his impact goes beyond the box score.<\/p>\n
