Mike White Says He Was \u201cBlindsided\u201d by \u2018Survivor 50\u2019 Elimination<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

There was more bad blood than met the eye.<\/span><\/p>\n

As it turns out, <\/span>Survivor 50<\/span><\/em><\/a> contestant <\/span>Charlie Davis<\/strong> may have been wrong to assume that fellow castaway <\/span>Rizo Velovic<\/strong>\u2014who returned to the milestone season less than two weeks after completing season 49\u2014was without any alliances on the islands of Fiji.<\/span><\/p>\n

Indeed, the self-professed <\/span>Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> fan revealed that Rizo\u2019s season 49 ally <\/span>Sophi Balerdi<\/strong> may have connected him with season 45 winner <\/span>Dee Valladares <\/strong>before filming.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI know Dee had a FaceTime before the season with Rizo, this is what I heard,\u201d Charlie told <\/span>Page Six<\/span><\/em><\/a> in an interview published March 26. \u201cI think [they met] through Soph because they’re both in Miami.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And the 28-year-old alleged that Rizo\u2019s pre-game connection may have \u201cplayed into\u201d alliances within their tribe.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf I were Dee,\u201d he continued, \u201cI’d be like, \u2018Oh, wow. I have this pre-game relationship with Rizo and no one else has that because no one else would have any way of getting in touch with him or knowing he was on 50.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In recent episodes, Charlie had been gunning to target Rizo after learning that the RizGod had not voted for Sophi to win season 49. Ultimately, though, Dee and Rizo, alongside tribemates <\/span>Cirie Fields<\/strong> and <\/span>Kamilla Karthigesu<\/strong>, blindsided Charlie by voting him out during the March 25 episode.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, despite their contentious division, Charlie admitted there is not any real bad blood with Rizo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cObviously based off what people have seen, they’re like, \u2018Oh, man, you must hate this Rizo’s guy’s guts,\u2019\u201d he told <\/span>Entertainment Weekly<\/span><\/em><\/a> in an interview published March 26. \u201cBut I was like, \u2018No, I don’t. I don’t hate Rizo.\u2019 I mean, maybe out there I had some island beef with him, but even on the island we shared some fun moments and good moments of connection.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Charlie concluded, \u201cSo no, I don’t have hatred towards Rizo. But it was definitely funny watching.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

E! News has reached out to reps for Rizo and Dee for comment and hasn\u2019t heard back.<\/span><\/p>\n
