Savannah Guthrie is speaking her heart out in her first interview since her mom, Nancy Guthrie, disappeared.<\/p>\n

Teary-eyed, she says her family members were in a state of panic when they received the information that the 84-year-old was missing.<\/p>\n

But her brother, the TODAY <\/i>anchor, shares that he knew it was not a burglary gone wrong but a kidnapping for ransom.<\/p>\n

His background is rooted in military service as a retired F-16 fighter.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Savannah recalls that before even observing the signs in the house, the door was propped open, there was blood on the doorstep, and the Ring camera had been removed.<\/p>\n

Though these details indicated that Nancy could have been forcibly taken, the morning show host’s brother, whom she described as “brilliant”, had guessed it beforehand. <\/p>\n

\u201cEven on the phone when I called him, he knew,\u201d Savannah shares about his brother whose name is Charles Cameron Guthrie. <\/p>\n

She tells TODAY<\/i>, “He said, ‘I think she\u2019s been kidnapped for ransom.’ And I said, \u2018What? Well, why? What?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Registering at first, Savannah remembers, was hard, especially when it dawned upon her the possibility that her fame and wealth could be the reason her mom was kidnapped.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt sounds so, like, how dumb could I be? But I just\u2014I didn\u2019t want to believe. I just said, \u2018Do you think because of me?\u2019 And he said, \u2018I\u2019m sorry, sweetie, but yeah, maybe.\u2019 But I knew that.”<\/p>\n

In a tear-soaked interview, Savannah continues to recall the painful memories and the haunting realization led her to apologise to her family.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d just say, \u2018I\u2019m so sorry, Mommy. I\u2019m so sorry.\u2019 I\u2019m sorry to my sister and my brother and my kids and my nephew and Tommy, my brother-in-law,\u201d she says, adding, \u201cIf it is me, I\u2019m so sorry. I\u2019m so sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Savannah’s mom, Nancy, has been missing for over 50 days from her home near Tucson, Arizona.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Authorities are so far unable to produce a serious lead to find her whereabouts or catch her presumed abductor.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
