The official website of the Hokuto no Ken: Fist of the North Star<\/i><\/a> television anime revealed<\/a> additional cast on Wednesday. The new anime series adapting Buronson<\/a> and Tetsuo Hara<\/a>‘s action sci-fi manga<\/a> premiered on April 11 at 1 a.m. on Tokyo MX and BS 11.<\/p>\n

\nClub: Anri Katsu<\/a> (Toaru Majutsu no Index<\/i>)<\/p>\n

Hiroshi Maeda<\/a> (Sousei no Aquarion<\/i> director of photography) is helming the anime at TMS Entertainment<\/a>. Kazuhiko Inukai<\/a> (Bakugan: Armored Alliance<\/i>) is handling the series composition and Naoki Hisatsune<\/a> (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 6: Stone Ocean animation director<\/i>) is designing the characters. Yuuki Hayashi<\/a> (Kiznaiver<\/i>) is composing the music.<\/p>\n

\nBuronson and Hara serialized the manga in Weekly Shounen Jump<\/a> from September 1983 to August 1988. Shueisha published the 27th and final volume in March 1989.<\/p>\n

\nProduced by Toei Animation<\/a>, the first season<\/a> of original television anime aired in 109 episodes from Fall 1984 to Winter 1987. The 43-episode second season<\/a> premiered in Spring 1987.<\/p>\n
