Rock musician and frontman of The Wildhearts, Ginger Wildheart, has announced that he will not undergo treatment following a cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n

The band confirmed that the 56-year-old singer, born David Leslie Walls, has been diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer affecting the lymphatic system.<\/p>\n

The diagnosis comes after the artiste reportedly experienced severe pain during the band\u2019s 2025 UK tour.<\/p>\n

In a statement shared on social media, Wildheart said he has chosen not to pursue medical treatment.<\/p>\n

He noted that he intends to continue writing and performing music despite the diagnosis.<\/p>\n

The musician also revealed that he has been given an estimated two to three years to live.<\/p>\n

He urged fans to remain positive, adding that he plans to keep performing for as long as possible.<\/p>\n

The band\u2019s management confirmed that all previously scheduled shows will go ahead as planned.<\/p>\n

Wildheart founded The Wildhearts in 1989, with the group achieving commercial success over the years, including several top 20 singles.<\/p>\n

Their most recent album, Satanic Rites of the Wildhearts, was released in 2025.<\/p>\n
