IMPALA unveils the fifth edition of 100 Artists to Watch, in partnership with YouTube and co-funded by the European Union.<\/h2>\n

A new generation of independent artists working with labels across Europe has been selected for the fifth edition of IMPALA\u2019s 100 Artists to Watch program for 2026, curated by IMPALA\u2019s far-reaching European network.<\/p>\n

Co-funded by the European Union, the program features artists nominated by IMPALA members<\/a> in partnership with YouTube. The initiative aims to highlight the creativity, diversity, and innovation shaping the future of Europe\u2019s indie music landscape.<\/p>\n

This year, highlighted artists include Hobbel (Store Studio Records), Jamie McIntyre (self-released), Le Parody (Everlasting Records), Lia Hide (The Institute for Experimental Arts; Second Records), Matteo Mancuso (Mascot Records), Maureen (Because Music), Negros Tou Moria (AKA Kevin Ansong; Stay Independent), OLGA (PME Records; Cyber Recordings), Pearly Drops (Music Website), Pistamachina (self-released), Roxane Elfasci (Cosmos Music), Sren (Tamar Records), The Guilt (Icons Creating Evil Art), The Prostitutes (Empirica; Parlay Shop), Unsafe Space Garden (gig.ROCKS!), and many more.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe independent sector is the backbone of Europe\u2019s music ecosystem. Initiatives like \u2018100 Artists to Watch\u2019 highlight artists and their labels who are shaping new sounds and making Europe\u2019s cultural diversity world-leading. Supporting these artists is about visibility as well as highlighting the unique contribution of independent labels and the amazing artists they work with,\u201d said Helen Smith, Executive Chair, IMPALA.<\/h4>\n

\u201cAs the 100 Artists to Watch program marks its 5th anniversary, celebrating 500 artists discovered over the past five years, we at YouTube Music are proud to continue our partnership with IMPALA in showcasing emerging independent artists and their labels. Our role is to help these artists reach global audiences, giving them unique tools and visibility to thrive,\u201d added Dan Chalmers, Director, YouTube Music, EMEA.<\/p>\n

YouTube will work with IMPALA on the program to help build awareness of the diverse European independent sector, helping the independent community by spotlighting talent from different markets and at different stages in their careers.<\/p>\n

The 100 Artists to Watch award was launched in 2022 to promote diversity in the European independent music sector, putting a spotlight on a more diverse range of artists through a list curated by IMPALA members across Europe. The program is a natural evolution of IMPALA\u2019s Album of the Year award, which ran for a decade.<\/p>\n<\/section><\/div>\n
