\n\tIn 2019, Jack Black<\/a> teamed up with Jack White<\/a> on a Tenacious D song.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe A Minecraft Movie<\/em> star and the former frontman of The White Stripes will team up again, this time on Saturday Night Live.<\/em><\/p>\n

\n\tBlack will host the show on April 4, with White as musical guest.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt comes less than a year after Black, who also starred in The Super Mario Bros. Movie<\/em>, last hosted the NBC show. He appeared on April 5, ostensibly to promote A Minecraft Movie,<\/em> with Elton John and Brandi Carlile as musical guest.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt seems that Black SNL<\/a> <\/em>appearances are like buses, none for ages and then two come along at once \u2013 the Shallow Hal <\/em>star\u2019s last hosting appearance before 2025 was in 2005.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt will also see Black enter the five-timer club as host \u2013 he has also appeared as musical guest with his band Tenacious D in December 2006.<\/p>\n

\n\tBlack has also starred in the Kung Fu Panda <\/em>franchise, The Holiday, High Fidelity <\/em>and the Jumanji<\/em> franchise. He will next star in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.<\/em><\/p>\n

\n\tWhen Black and White teamed up for the song Don\u2019t Blow It, Kage, in 2018, they jokingly called it Jack Gray. The song is actually credited as a Tenacious D song with White as producer, having recorded it at the latter\u2019s home studio in Nashville.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhite himself has appeared on the show a lot. He appeared in 2002 with The White Stripes and then returned in 2012, 2018, 2020 and 2023, as well as appearing on SNL50: The Homecoming Concert.<\/em><\/p>\n
