Outlander<\/em>, adapted from the novels by Diana Gabaldon, started way back in 2014. The show tells the story of Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe), a World War II-era nurse who finds herself transported back in time to 18th century Scotland, where she falls in love with dashing highlander Jaime Fraser (Sam Heughan).<\/p>\n

The time travel element means that Outlander <\/em>is technically a sci-fi\/fantasy show, but the focus has always been on the romance and the characters. This new season will be the last, and will go beyond Gabaldon’s published books to finish out the story. This show is famous for having very passionate fans, and if there’s anybody out there who’s looking to see what the fuss is about, this is your last chance before it’s all over.<\/p>\n

The eighth and final season of Outlander <\/em>will premiere on Starz on March 6.<\/strong><\/p>\n
