From the smiles to the shared songs, the connection in the room was truly something special.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Article content<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Article content<\/p>\n Chords & Connections ran from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at St. Mark\u2019s by-the-Lake in Tecumseh. The free event included live music, light refreshments, and social time in \u201ca welcoming and supportive environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Article content<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Organizers said the afternoon event blended \u201cthemes of music, memory, and fellowship.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Article content<\/p>\n \u201cChords & Connections is designed to bring people together through the power of music \u2014 a meaningful way to spark memories, encourage conversation, and foster connection, particularly for individuals living with dementia and their care partners.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Article content<\/p>\n Chords &Connections was open to anyone, but the event was aimed at people living with dementia and those taking care of them.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n Article content<\/p>\n \u201cWe are so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this first gathering such a beautiful success,\u201d the Alzheimer Society said. \u201cThis is just the beginning, and we can\u2019t wait to create many more moments like this together.
