Hillary Clinton<\/strong><\/a> appeared in front of the House Oversight Committee on February 26, 2026, to answer questions about Jeffrey Epstein<\/strong><\/a>, the deceased child sex offender, with whom her husband, Bill Clinton<\/strong><\/a>, was close years ago. She released a statement insisting that she had \u201cno idea\u201d about the \u201ccriminal activities\u201d by Epstein or his associate Ghislaine Maxwell<\/strong><\/a>. According to the former Secretary of State, she does \u201cnot recall\u201d ever meeting Epstein.<\/p>\n

Why Did Hillary Clinton Have to Testify in the Epstein Investigation?<\/h2>\n

Hillary\u2019s testimony is part of the government\u2019s investigation into the Epstein files, which have been released in batches over the past several months of Donald Trump<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s presidency.<\/p>\n

\u201c[Y]ou have compelled me to testify, fully aware that I have no knowledge that would assist your investigation in order to distract attention from President Trump\u2019s actions and cover them up despite legitimate calls for answers,\u201d Hillary\u2019s statement to the House Oversight Committee read. \u201cIf this committee is serious about learning the truth about Epstein\u2019s trafficking crimes, it would not rely on press gaggles to get answers from our current president on his involvement; it would ask him directly under oath about the tens of thousands of times he shows up in the Epstein files.\u201d<\/p>\n
