The Denver Broncos<\/a> seemingly struck out on every free agent running back they had reached out to, except one: J.K. Dobbins, who returns to Denver on a two-year, $16 million deal<\/a>. While some fans and pundits were in dismay at the seemingly lackluster signing, Dobbins himself took to social media to defend his record.<\/p>\n “Lol go check the numbers and tell us how many RBs are better \ud83d\udc4e,” Dobbins tweeted in a response to player-turned-commentator Tyler Polumbus.<\/p>\n Before Dobbins got hurt in November 2025, he was in the top five running backs in the NFL for rushing yards. Despite not playing the final month and a half of the season and the two playoff games, Dobbins finished as the Broncos’ leading rusher<\/a> on the year, with 772 yards and four rushing touchdowns.<\/p>\n Dobbins also responded to a fan:<\/p>\n Dobbins will now aim to stay healthy and play in more than 10 games for just the third time in his career.
