\n\tEXCLUSIVE: <\/strong>Disney+<\/a> is developing a caper drama series with Fool Me Once <\/em>scribe Danny Brocklehurst<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tWe understand the show is titled After the Move to Nevada<\/a>. <\/em>Brocklehurst\u2019s script is about a gangster movie fan who goes to a crime convention in Nevada, hence the title. While there, he gets mistaken for a mafia boss, and the story follows from there.<\/p>\n

\n\tWe are told the project has been in development for some time with Disney+ UK, and casting conversations are well underway. It is being produced by Wild Mercury<\/a>, the Banijay-backed production company that has made the likes of the BBC\u2019s The Sixth Commandment <\/em>and Prime Video\u2019s The Rig. <\/em><\/p>\n

\n\tBrocklehurst would be the latest big name writer to work with Disney+. The double-BAFTA nominated scribe penned Netflix\u2019s Fool Me Once, <\/em>the Harlan Coben adaptation that was Netflix\u2019s most-watched show of 2024. Other credits include Sky\u2019s long-running Brassic<\/em> and Harlan Coben\u2019s Lazarus <\/em>for Prime Video. Upcoming, Brocklehurst is writing thriller series Adultery<\/em><\/a> <\/em>for ITV starring Laura Donnelly.<\/p>\n

\n\tDisney+ UK has several big dramas on the horizon including Tony McNamara\u2019s Mosquito <\/em>starring Nicholas Hoult and Daisy Edgar-Jones, Alice and Steve <\/em>with Nicola Walker and Jemaine Clement, and a second season of Jilly Cooper adaptation Rivals<\/em>. Last week, it revealed a first-look deal<\/a> with Adolescence <\/em>co-creator Stephen Graham\u2019s indie. Led by Angela Jain, the Disney+ EMEA commissioning team recently promoted four executives <\/a>including Rivals <\/em>commissioner Lee Mason.<\/p>\n

\n\tDisney declined comment on After the Move to Nevada.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
