She, Pharrell Williams, and Kirk Franklin were honored on Thursday in a ceremony hosted by the Black Music Collective. Brandy received the Black Music Icon Award, which recognizes <em>\u201cBlack music creators whose artistry, innovation and service have shaped the industry and inspired generations around the world,\u201d<\/em> per a Recording Academy<a href=\"https:\/\/www.recordingacademy.com\/press-releases\/recording-academy-honors-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" aria-label=\"press release (opens in a new tab)\"> press release<\/a>. She and Monica went on a <a href=\"https:\/\/theshaderoom.com\/brandy-instagram-react-beyonce-fan-page-messages-screenshots-the-shade-room\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" aria-label=\"\u2018The Boy Is Mine\u2019 tour (opens in a new tab)\">\u2018The Boy Is Mine\u2019 tour<\/a> between last October and December and the fans ate it up!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Raven-Symon\u00e9 Shows Out For Tribute<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The day after the ceremony videos of Brandy\u2019s tribute hit the internet. Several clips show Raven-Symon\u00e9 in the center of more than 10 dancers in a choreographed moment. They all dressed in variations of black and red, including Rae. In one clip, the crowd went wild as the \u2018That\u2019s So Raven\u2019 actress brought back some of her signature moves from the early 2000s and seemingly blew a kiss at Brandy near the end of the performance. Rae even gave a lil\u2019 twerk, and had the audience throwing up their hands, with jaws hanging!<\/p>\n<blockquote data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DUKMQR_DFJ-\/?utm_source=ig_embed&#038;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\"><\/blockquote>\n<h3><strong>Tribute Sparks Nostalgic Reactions From Fans<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>After The Shade Room reposted the circulating clip, the roommates flooded the comment section. Some joked about<em> Raven Baxter<\/em> being back, others hyped up Raen-Symon\u00e9\u2019s energy and some fans were shook at how she went in and that <em>you-know-who<\/em> wasn\u2019t on stage, too!<\/p>\n<p>@que.velez said, <strong>\u201cIt\u2019s so good to see Raven Baxter.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cBoys! We are the boys in motion! We give you our devotion \ud83d\udd25\ud83e\udd70,\u201d<\/strong> @nikkiyanikkiya commented.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cI been watching this woman my entire 34 yrs of life!And still love to see her do aaanything,\u201d<\/strong> @chris_thefurr wrote.<\/p>\n<p>@iflyasswee said, <strong>\u201cOutside of all her Shenanigans.
