St Mary\u2019s College claimed second place and Trinity College East took third. In the girls\u2019 division, St Augustine Girls\u2019 High School edged St Joseph\u2019s Convent, Port of Spain, to win the title 157\u2013142, with Holy Name Convent third on 104 points.<\/p>\n<p>Vessigny Secondary School dominated the co-ed category, amassing 139.50 points to finish well clear of Northgate College (53) and Diego Martin Central (29).<\/p>\n<p>Holy Name Convent PoS and Fatima College were named the best competitive girls\u2019 and boys\u2019 teams respectively, while St Joseph\u2019s Convent PoS and Hillview College were adjudged the best non-competitive girls\u2019 and boys\u2019 teams.<\/p>\n<p>Zonal honours were also handed out: Hillview College topped the East Zone, St Mary\u2019s College the North Zone, Holy Faith Convent Couva the Central Zone and Vessigny Secondary School the South Zone.<\/p>\n<p>Organisers praised the high standard of competition and sportsmanship on display, saying the championships provided important competitive exposure for the country\u2019s young swimmers as they prepare for the coming season.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p> Tomi Drews <br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/trinidadexpress.com\/sports\/local\/hillview-st-augustine-vessigny-shine-at-schools-swim-meet\/article_a4384add-9316-42c9-a79f-8df61528dc3c.html\" class=\"button purchase\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Read More<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hillview College, St Augustine Girls\u2019 High School and Vessigny Secondary School were crowned champions at the ASATT National Secondary Schools Swimming Championships at the National Aquatic Centre, Couva, recently.
