Nearly a month later, users can now finally link their Google accounts to Movies Anywhere to access movies purchased from Google Play and YouTube.

According to 9to5Google, affected users have started receiving an email announcing the change, with an option to reconnect Google Play and YouTube to Movies Anywhere. Users can click the link in the email to reconnect their account and regain access.

Reconnect your Google account to Movies Anywhere

If you haven’t received the email yet, you can manually reconnect your Google account from Movies Anywhere’s settings. To do so, open the drop-down menu in the top-right corner, select Settings, and then choose the Manage Retailers option from the sidebar.

Click the Connect button next to Google’s listing, and follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect your account. Once that’s done, you should once again be able to access movies purchased from Google Play and YouTube within Movies Anywhere.

With Google back as a Movies Anywhere partner, users caught in the middle of the Disney-Google dispute can breathe a sigh of relief. This update effectively closes one of last remaining consequences of the standoff and brings things back to normal.

Pranob is a seasoned tech journalist with over eight years of experience covering consumer technology. Netflix has now dropped the first trailer for a brand-new animated spinoff, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, keeping the world of Hawkins alive with a fresh adventure set to arrive later this year.

The original Stranger Things series ended after five seasons and a massive finale. Yet, both fans and creators felt that there were still corners of this universe left to explore. That feeling clearly stuck with the Duffer Brothers, who are helping guide this animated offshoot in a new and playful direction.

You can now enjoy Substack on a TV, if that’s your idea of fun times

Substack is now on your TV, because why not watch essays like Netflix?

Substack has carved out a massive niche for itself as the “quiet corner” of the internet—the place you go to escape the noise of social media and actually read. It is where you sip your morning coffee while scrolling through a thoughtful newsletter from your favourite writer. But with the surprise launch of its new beta TV app, the platform is making a bold play to leave your inbox and claim a spot in your living room, right next to the titans like Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube.

The app, which has just rolled out for Apple TV and Google TV, basically takes the video content and livestreams from the creators you already subscribe to and splashes them onto the biggest screen in your house. It is a smart, calculated move toward what the tech industry calls a “lean-back” experience. Instead of hunching over a laptop or squinting at a smartphone screen to watch a forty-minute interview or a deep-dive lecture, you can now throw it on the TV while you cook dinner, fold laundry, or just relax on the couch.

Wondering if YouTube TV is worth it?
