Terem Moffi is set to begin a new chapter in his career after FC Porto<\/a> agreed a deal with OGC Nice for the Nigeria<\/a> forward, Soccernet.ng reports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n A move to the Est\u00e1dio do Drag\u00e3o brings to an end a difficult and increasingly uncomfortable spell in France for Moffi.<\/p>\n The Portuguese giants have reached an agreement with Nice for a loan move that includes a non-mandatory option to buy, reportedly worth around \u20ac8m.<\/p>\n The 26-year-old is expected in Porto to complete a medical and finalise the formalities, with respected transfer market insider Fabrice Hawkins<\/a> confirming that the deal is now in place.<\/p>\n Porto beat off competition from several clubs, including Turkey\u2019s Besiktas<\/a>, who were said to have offered the striker a more lucrative salary package.<\/p>\n There was also interest from teams in France and Scotland, but Moffi opted for a move to Portugal, drawn by both the sporting project and the chance to work under coach Francesco Farioli, who knows him well from their time in French football.<\/p>\n For Porto, the Super Eagles<\/a> striker is viewed as an immediate solution in attack at a crucial stage of the season. In the aftermath, Moffi was removed from the first-team picture and has been searching for a way out ever since. Moffi had to drag Nice to a French judicial commission<\/a> to force the club into allowing him leave this winter.\u00a0<\/p>\n On the pitch, his season never truly caught fire. He managed just two goals in 10 league appearances, a sharp contrast to his first season, when he finished as Nice\u2019s top scorer with 11 goals after completing a permanent move from Lorient.<\/p>\n Despite his club struggles, Moffi remains a recognised name in Nigerian football. He made his Super Eagles debut in 2021 and announced himself on the international stage with a brace in a 10\u20130 win over S\u00e3o Tom\u00e9 and Pr\u00edncipe in 2022.
