Word of their interest <span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/chiefs-request-permission-to-interview-eric-bieniemy-for-offensive-coordinator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in interviewing<\/a><\/span> Bieniemy, who is currently the Bears\u2019 running backs coach, first surfaced on Monday morning. <\/p>\n<p>Bieniemy was the team\u2019s offensive coordinator from 2018-2022 and left to call the offensive plays for the Commanders in 2023. Matt Nagy began his second stint in the role when Bieniemy left the team, but has an expiring contract and is a finalist for the Titans\u2019 head coaching job.<\/p>\n<p>Bieniemy\u2019s stint in Washington ended after one season and he spent 2024 at UCLA before joining the Bears\u2019 staff. <\/p>\n<p>Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Chiefs <span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TomPelissero\/status\/2013360882512691327\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">are also hiring<\/a><\/span> Chad O\u2019Shea as their wide receivers coach.
