While widely believed to improve sleep or reduce facial tics, the scientific evidence is limited.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1108\" data-end=\"1496\">\u201cThere\u2019s actually no definitive study to say it makes\u2026does anything for anything apart from muscles,\u201d Dr. Galvin explained.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1108\" data-end=\"1496\">\u201cIf it doesn\u2019t make you any worse and it makes you feel better, I\u2019m all for it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1498\" data-end=\"1856\">The conversation highlighted a growing tension between social media-inspired wellness and medically backed advice. Dr. Galvin warned that while many fads are relatively harmless, some can carry risks if taken to extremes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1498\" data-end=\"1856\">\u201cPeople with a certain air of disgust watch these things on TikTok and try them,\u201d she said, cautioning listeners to proceed carefully.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1858\" data-end=\"2089\">While some of these trends are lighthearted experiments, they reflect a larger cultural phenomenon.
