(Photo by Ed Mulholland\/Getty Images for Netflix)\">Photo by Ed Mulholland\/Getty Images for Netflix<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Anthony Joshua pitched 60-50 shutout against Jake Paul<\/h2>\n<p>The combat sports community has been split on whether to praise Paul for sharing the ring with \u2018AJ\u2019 or criticize his approach to the late-notice fight.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bloodyelbow.com\/2025\/11\/03\/jake-paul-vs-gervonta-davis-officially-cancelled-as-paul-vows-to-fight-on-within-2025\/\">Paul\u2019s exhibition contest with Gervonta Davis was canceled<\/a> in November due to fresh allegations of domestic abuse against the WBA lightweight champion, and many were shocked to see \u2018El Gallo\u2019 accept <a href=\"https:\/\/bloodyelbow.com\/tag\/anthony-joshua\/\">Joshua<\/a> as the replacement.<\/p>\n<p>The Cleveland native was accused of \u2018running\u2019 and shooting takedowns on \u2018AJ\u2019 for large parts of the fight. With that in mind, there was little doubt over who was winning at the time of the finish.<\/p>\n<p>Paul rejected the suggestion that he was totally uncompetitive, but the official scorecards tell a different story.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmafighting.com\/boxing\/463899\/jake-paul-shut-out-on-scorecards-against-anthony-joshua-including-10-7-round-before-knockout-loss\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">MMA Fighting<\/a> received the scorecards submitted by judges David Sutherland, Steven Weisfeld, and Michael Tate. Use the comment button on the bottom left to have your say<\/span> <\/p>\n<\/section>\n<h2>Jake Paul claimed to have won two rounds against Anthony Joshua<\/h2>\n<p>Those scorecards may be disheartening for Paul, who claimed post-fight that he had done enough to edge two of the six rounds in Miami.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cActually, I won two rounds, then he won two, then I got dropped,\u201d Paul told his brother <a href=\"https:\/\/bloodyelbow.com\/tag\/logan-paul\/\">Logan Paul<\/a> on the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=AQko0eYpHKA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Impaulsive<\/a><\/em> podcast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was doing good. I just think my cardio, the mental pressure of the big guy, and sparring the big people, is different than the 10-ounce gloves. So I was feeling his power more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut it was a great experience.
