TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:<\/strong> Signing<\/em><\/p>\n Inter Miami CF<\/a> have acquired defender Micael<\/a> on loan from Brazilian S\u00e9rie A side Palmeiras, the reigning MLS Cup presented by Audi champions announced Wednesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n The 25-year-old Brazilian center back’s loan lasts through the 2026 MLS season and includes a purchase option.<\/p>\n Micael made 28 appearances across all competitions for Palmeiras during the 2025 season, including the\u00a0FIFA Club World Cup<\/a> and Copa Libertadores. Last February, he was acquired from Houston Dynamo FC<\/a> on a club-record transfer<\/a> worth reportedly up to $6 million.<\/p>\n Before signing with Palmeiras, Micael made 80 appearances with Houston and helped them win the 2023 US Open Cup<\/a> against Inter Miami. He emerged with Houston Dynamo 2 in MLS NEXT Pro<\/a> after featuring for Brazil S\u00e9rie A side Atl\u00e9tico Mineiro.<\/p>\n Micael is the third defender signed by Inter Miami this offseason, following left back Sergio Reguil\u00f3n<\/a> and right back Facundo Mura<\/a>. They also added reigning MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Dayne St. Clair<\/a>.<\/p>\n Inter Miami begin their 2026 season on Feb. 21 at LAFC<\/a> (9:30 pm ET | Apple TV<\/a>). They’ll open their new stadium, Miami Freedom Park, on April 4 against Austin FC<\/a> (7:30 pm ET | Apple TV<\/a>).<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
