Mark Reynolds<\/p>\n

Mace Group executive chairman Mark Reynolds has been made CBE in the New Year Honours list.<\/p>\n

Reynolds (pictured) was honoured for services to business and the construction industry.<\/p>\n

He was chief executive of Mace<\/a> from January 2013 to December 2024 but retained his group chair role, which he has held since January 2022, after he stepped down.<\/p>\n

Reynolds has also served as co-chair of the Construction Leadership Council since June 2022.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe award is really a reflection of the exceptional work of everyone at Mace and the thousands of people across the industry who support the Construction Leadership Council,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a privilege to be part of an industry that makes such a significant\u00a0contribution to the world. As a 16-year-old leaving school and entering my working life with Lovell Construction I could never have imagined how much the industry would change and what opportunities it would offer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other construction and engineering figures recognised in the King\u2019s New Year Honours include Roni Savage<\/a>, chief executive officer and founder of geoengineering specialist Jomas Associates.<\/p>\n

She has been awarded an OBE for services to young people, business and the construction industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cI look forward to continuing this mission with renewed energy and even greater purpose,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Simon Boyd, managing director of Dorset-based structural steel contractor REIDSteel, has gained an OBE for services to British steel manufacturing and to SMEs.<\/p>\n

Hywel Davies, head of technical insight at the Chartered Association of Building Engineers, was named as an OBE for services to building safety and standards.<\/p>\n

The same honour has been given to Julie Feest, chief executive of the Engineering Development Trust, for services to young people; and Philip Ind, senior engineering manager at nuclear weapons facility AWE, for services to defence.<\/p>\n

MBEs in the New Year\u2019s list include Peter Brewin and William Crawford, directors and co-founders of materials firm Concrete Canvas.<\/p>\n

They were both honoured for services to engineering materials innovation.<\/p>\n

Peter Farrell, construction management professor emeritus at the University of Greater Manchester, has been awarded an MBE for services to higher education and to the construction industry.<\/p>\n

Alexandra Knight, founder and chief executive of not-for-profit social enterprise STEMAZING, was recognised with an MBE for services to diversity and inclusion in engineering.<\/p>\n

William Scott, founder and chairman of two Northern Irish firms \u2013 heating and plumbing contractor Scott & Ewing and Woodvale Construction \u2013 gained the same award for services to construction in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n

Other MBEs went to Ruth Shilston, global practice lead at consultancy Mott MacDonald, for services to sustainable engineering; and Andrew Windass, senior engineer at mechanical and electrical design consultancy AGH Engineering, for services to rail engineering.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
