Alinea<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"sports_article_writeup\">\n<p data-end=\"386\" data-start=\"179\">MANILA, Philippines \u2014 Sarah Discaya, one of the alleged contractors involved in corruption in flood control projects, has reportedly surrendered\u00a0to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Tuesday, December 9.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"518\" data-start=\"388\">Lawyer Cornelio Samaniego, the spokesperson for Discaya, said in a message to reporters that she surrendered on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"647\" data-start=\"520\">Discaya surrendered after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said that an arrest warrant would be released against her this week.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"714\" data-start=\"649\"><strong data-end=\"661\" data-start=\"649\">RELATED:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.philstar.com\/headlines\/2025\/12\/09\/2492998\/sarah-discayas-arrest-warrant-coming-says-marcos\">Sarah Discaya&#8217;s arrest warrant coming, says Marcos<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-end=\"714\" data-start=\"649\">The case arises from malversation complaints filed by the Office of the Ombudsman in Mindanao against Discaya and other DPWH officials over the P96.5-million alleged ghost project in Davao Occidental.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1118\" data-start=\"962\">With the case involving malversation, Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano said on December 5 that the case is non-bailable if the court found probable cause.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1215\" data-start=\"1120\"><strong data-end=\"1132\" data-start=\"1120\">RELATED:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.philstar.com\/headlines\/2025\/12\/05\/2492096\/discaya-dpwh-officials-face-malversation-raps-over-p965m-davao-ghost-project\">Discaya, DPWH officials face malversation raps over P96.5M Davao &#8216;ghost&#8217; project<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1308\" data-start=\"1217\">However, it should be noted that there has yet to be a warrant of arrest against Discaya.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1470\" data-start=\"1310\">Meanwhile, Roma Rimando, president of St. Timothy Construction, surrendered to the Pasig City Police on Monday, according to a OnePH interview with Samaniego.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1553\" data-start=\"1472\">He also said that Rimando surrendered her passport to the police in Pasig City.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1684\" data-start=\"1555\">&#8220;Diyan po natin malalaman talaga na handang harapin ang legal na processo kung ano man ang kanilang haharapin,&#8221; Samaniego said.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1784\" data-start=\"1686\">Rimando is one of the respondents to the malversation complaint filed by the Ombudsman Mindanao.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1853\" data-start=\"1786\">However, there has yet to be a warrant of arrest against Rimando.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1912\" data-start=\"1855\"><em><strong>This is a developing story.
