Our message must remain consistent and sincere,\u201d he added, encouraging churches to defend the vulnerable and reflect Christ\u2019s values through their actions.<\/p>\n<p>He reminded the gathering that true Christian witness goes beyond ceremonies and worship spaces.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur Christian witness today will not be judged merely by our prayers or magnificent sanctuaries, but by how faithfully we reflect the character of Christ in our commitment to justice, compassion, and righteousness,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The CAN President also commended the Christian Council of Nigeria for its decades-long role as the oldest ecumenical body in the country, noting its enduring contributions to unity, justice, and peace.<\/p>\n<p>Reaffirming CAN\u2019s partnership with the Council, he said both bodies remain committed to promoting moral integrity and national healing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTogether, we will continue to uphold the unity of the Body of Christ, defend the oppressed, and advance the values of God\u2019s kingdom on earth,\u201d he assured.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thenationonlineng.net\/can-to-fg-nigerians-need-protection\/\" class=\"button purchase\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Read More<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), on Wednesday, urged the federal government to explore every means to protect Nigerians and curb insecurity.
