Here are the top 10 most read:<\/p>\n<h3>9. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/financial\/administrations\/midlands-plant-firm-collapses-after-36-years-22-08-2025\/\">Midlands plant firm collapses after 36 years<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ca.emap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2017\/10\/Generic_administration-locked-gates-business-insolvency-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"Generic_administration locked gates business insolvency \" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  ><br \/> Derbyshire-based plant hire business Leedale <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/financial\/administrations\/midlands-plant-firm-collapses-after-36-years-22-08-2025\/\">called in administrators in August<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The company had been founded in 1989 by Lee Walkup and continued to operate as a family business leasing diggers, tip trucks, grab trucks, cranes, crushers and road sweepers.<\/p>\n<p>Four months earlier it had been <a href=\"https:\/\/assets.publishing.service.gov.uk\/media\/6819fd4b80efd795d6b8e0b0\/Abigail_Bullock_v_Leedale_Limited_2600045.2025_Judgment.pdf\">ordered by a tribunal<\/a> to pay former director Abigail Bullock \u00a38,724 over a failure to pay her notice money.<\/p>\n<h3>7. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/legal\/contractor-loses-cracked-concrete-court-claim-14-04-2025\/\">Contractor loses cracked concrete court claim<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ca.emap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2020\/06\/legal_uk_generic-300x200.jpg\" alt width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  ><\/p>\n<p>Cambridgeshire-based MJS Projects (March) Ltd took designers RPS Consulting Services Ltd to the Technology and Construction Court for alleged negligence and breach of contract.<\/p>\n<p>It alleged that concrete surrounding drains in the design of a container park near Felixstowe Port was suffering from deterioration and damage four months after completion.<\/p>\n<p>The case focused on whether the deterioration and damage was caused by RPS\u2019s design, the manner in which the drains were constructed, or both.<\/p>\n<p>A judge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/legal\/contractor-loses-cracked-concrete-court-claim-14-04-2025\/\">dismissed the claim<\/a> in April.<\/p>\n<div>\n<h3>6.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/skills\/balfour-beatty-removes-danny-sullivan-from-contracts-07-07-2025\/\"> Balfour Beatty removes Danny Sullivan from contracts<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ca.emap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2024\/07\/Balfour-Beatty-heavy-machinery-300x200.jpg\" alt width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  ><\/p>\n<p>Danny Sullivan Group denied deliberate wrongdoing after Balfour Beatty terminated all its agreements with the labour supply firm in July over the misclassification of HS2 workers\u2019 employment status.<\/p>\n<p>The contractor said that an independent investigation found that the labour supplier had misinformed it \u201cabout the provision of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) workers instead of PAYE employees, in breach of their agreements\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Danny Sullivan Group said the review it commissioned found no \u201cevidence of deliberate wrongdoing involving any employees of our business\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It said it was putting \u201csignificant\u201d investment into \u201cenhancements and transformation of the company\u2019s processes, technology and culture\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h3>5. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/financial\/administrations\/major-independent-timber-supplier-on-brink-of-collapse-14-11-2025\/\">Major independent timber supplier on brink of collapse<\/a><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ca.emap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2025\/01\/Timber-dust_shutterstock_2466822769-300x200.jpg\" alt width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  ><\/p>\n<p>News that National Timber Group England and its holding parent, National Timber Group Midco had both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/financial\/administrations\/major-independent-timber-supplier-on-brink-of-collapse-14-11-2025\/\">filed a notice of intention to go into administration was widely read in November<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Sheffield-registered company employed more than 1,000 people and operated under brands including Arnold Laver, National Timber Systems, SV Timber and NORclad.<\/p>\n<p>It went into administration later that month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/financial\/administrations\/uks-largest-independent-timber-supplier-enters-administration-27-11-2025\/\">when insolvency specialists Alvarez &#038;
