\n\tThe entertainment industry is already mourning the loss of several actors, singers, performers, creatives, executives and all-around industry legends this year.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hollywood Reporter<\/em>\u00a0is highlighting some of the most well-known names who have died in 2025, including Rob Reiner, Diane Keaton, Robert Redford, Val Kilmer, Gene Hackman, Michelle Trachtenberg, Ozzy Osbourne, David Lynch, Brian Wilson, Irv Gotti and Jeff Baena.<\/p>\n

\n\tReiner, who directed This Is Spinal Tap<\/em>,\u00a0Stand by Me<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0When Harry Met Sally<\/em>\u00a0after starring in All in the Family<\/em>, died at 78 in Los Angeles, along with his wife, Michele. Their son, Nick Reiner, has been charged <\/a>with their murders.<\/p>\n

\n\tKeaton, an industry icon and Oscar winner who starred in Annie Hall<\/em>, three\u00a0Godfather<\/em>\u00a0films, Something\u2019s Gotta Give<\/em>, Reds<\/em>, Marvin\u2019s Room<\/em>, two\u00a0Book Club<\/em>\u00a0movies and two\u00a0Father of the Bride<\/em>\u00a0films, died at 79 in California.<\/p>\n

\n\tRedford, the legendary Oscar-winning actor who founded the Sundance Film Festival and starred in movies as\u00a0Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid<\/em>,\u00a0The Way We Were<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0All the President\u2019s Men<\/em>, died at 89 at his home outside Provo, Utah.<\/p>\n

\n\tKilmer, who won praise for memorable roles as Iceman in Top Gun<\/em>, Doc Holliday in Tombstone<\/em> and Batman in Batman Forever<\/em>, died at age 65 of pneumonia in Los Angeles, his daughter, actress Mercedes Kilmer announced.<\/p>\n

\n\tHackman, the much-admired two-time Oscar winner and his second wife, Betsy Hackman, 64,\u00a0were found dead\u00a0in February at their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The actor died of severe cardiovascular disease<\/a>, with Alzheimer\u2019s disease as a significant contributory factor, officials later announced.<\/p>\n

\n\tTrachtenberg, who started her career as a child performer before rising to fame for her roles on\u00a0Buffy the Vampire Slayer\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Gossip Girl<\/em>, died in February at age 39.<\/p>\n

\n\tOsbourne, the pioneering heavy metal singer who rose to prominence in the early 1970s with Black Sabbath before establishing a successful solo career and playing himself on reality TV, died at 76.<\/p>\n

\n\tLynch, the writer-director known for his films and TV series including\u00a0Blue Velvet<\/em>,\u00a0Mulholland Drive<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Twin Peaks<\/em>, died in January at age 78. Last year he revealed that he was suffering from emphysema after many years of smoking and couldn\u2019t leave the house over fears of getting COVID-19.<\/p>\n

\n\tWilson, a founding member of The\u00a0Beach Boys who wrote such timeless classics as \u201cSurfin\u2019 U.S.A.,\u201d \u201cIn My Room,\u201d \u201cGod Only Knows,\u201d \u201cCaroline, No,\u201d \u201cCalifornia Girls,\u201d \u201cWouldn\u2019t It Be Nice\u201d and \u201cGood Vibrations,\u201d died at age 82.<\/p>\n

\n\tGotti, a record executive,\u00a0music\u00a0producer and entrepreneur who founded of Murder Inc. Records, died in February at age 54.<\/p>\n

\n\tBaena, an indie film director and writer who was married to actress Aubrey Plaza, died in January at age 47 by suicide, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner\u2019s Office. \u201cThis is an unimaginable tragedy,\u201d Plaza shared in a statement<\/a> at the time. \u201cWe are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered support. Please respect our privacy during this time.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
