{"id":878936,"date":"2025-12-19T23:16:54","date_gmt":"2025-12-20T05:16:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/12\/19\/london-contractor-protects-margin-amid-9-revenue-rise\/"},"modified":"2025-12-19T23:16:54","modified_gmt":"2025-12-20T05:16:54","slug":"london-contractor-protects-margin-amid-9-revenue-rise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsycanuse.com\/index.php\/2025\/12\/19\/london-contractor-protects-margin-amid-9-revenue-rise\/","title":{"rendered":"London contractor protects margin amid 9% revenue rise"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"wrapper_sleeve\">\n<p><img width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.ca.emap.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2018\/07\/Money-cash-finance-calculator-accounts-financial.jpg\" alt=\"Money cash finance calculator accounts financial\"  decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\" ><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Quinn London has maintained its margin as it boosted turnover in its latest financial year.<\/p>\n<p>The Mill Hill-headquartered contractor\u2019s revenue rose to \u00a3109m in the year to 31 May 2025, from \u00a3100m in the prior 12 months, newly released accounts show.<\/p>\n<p>Its pre-tax profit rose to \u00a34.1m in the period, from \u00a33.6m in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The results mean its pre-tax margin stood at 3.8 per cent, up slightly from 3.6 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>Chairman Seamus Quinn said in the accounts that results were in line with expectations given trading conditions in the sector.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDespite persistent inflationary pressures, rising material costs, and ongoing supply chain volatility, the company maintained robust revenue growth, protected margins, and delivered solid profitability,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the business had performed \u201cvery well\u201d since he introduced joint managing directors to provide \u201crobust and controlled assistance\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Pat McGrath and Gerry O\u2019Connor were promoted to the roles in March 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The profit increase reflected improved efficiency and selective bidding practices, the chairman added.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2000, the firm works in sectors including health, education, heritage and residential.<\/p>\n<p>It employed a monthly average of 176 people in its latest accounts.<\/p>\n<p>The firm\u2019s cash reserves improved from \u00a36.5m to \u00a37.2m, and it paid out \u00a32.1m in dividends compared with nothing the year before.<\/p>\n<p>Quinn held no external bank loans or overdrafts.<\/p>\n<p>During the period covered by the accounts, it began working on an energy centre for the British Museum and secured a \u00a312.7m refurbishment job at the GradeII-listed Thomas\u2019s London Day School in Richmond.<\/p>\n<p>In October, the firm was named as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/contracts\/guinness-names-25-firms-for-300m-remediation-framework-01-10-2025\/\">one of 25 contractors<\/a> on a \u00a3300m building remediation framework for the Guinness Partnership.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionnews.co.uk\/financial\/london-contractor-protects-margin-amid-9-revenue-rise-19-12-2025\/\" class=\"button purchase\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Read More<\/a><br \/>\n Ian Weinfass<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Quinn London has maintained its margin as it boosted turnover in its latest financial year.
