Nope. Needed for sure, but not something that should redefine value,\u201d Brandt told Cointelegraph on Friday. \u201cHaving an asset regulated, particularly an asset for which die-hard investors never wanted to be regulated, is not an earth-shattering event,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>His comments came after White House crypto and AI czar David Sacks <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/white-house-david-sacks-crypto-clarity-act-senate-january\" rel target=\"_self\" title=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/white-house-david-sacks-crypto-clarity-act-senate-january\">said on Thursday<\/a>, \u201dWe are closer than ever to passing the landmark crypto market structure legislation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe look forward to finishing the job in January,\u201d Sacks said.<\/p>\n<h2>Clarity Act has already been priced in: Exec<\/h2>\n<p>While Brandt does not see the Clarity Act as a catalyst that will drive Bitcoin (<a href=\"http:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/bitcoin-price\">BTC<\/a>) back to its all-time high of $125,100, he emphasized that the legislation would still be a significant step forward for the wider crypto industry. \u201cThe Clarity Act would be positive because it would greatly clarify the regulatory structure for crypto assets,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<figure>    <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin Price, United States\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2025-12\/019b3892-33e2-7458-a02f-15c0b60783ce.png\" title><figcaption><em>Source: <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/davidsacks47\/status\/2001770200031736094?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/x.com\/davidsacks47\/status\/2001770200031736094?s=20\"><em>David Sacks<\/em><\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Echoing a similar sentiment to Brandt, Ledn\u2019s chief investment officer, John Glover, told Cointelegraph that the potential passing of the Clarity Act has already \u201cbeen priced into the market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t expect this event to have a significant impact on the markets on day 1,\u201d Glover said, adding that any benefits to price action are likely to be more delayed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is another step toward broad-based acceptance of Bitcoin and ETH as investable assets, so over time I still expect the price trajectory to be up and to the right over time,\u201d Glover said.<\/p>\n<p>Brandt opined that Bitcoin is in a bear market, though said the Clarity Act could mean his \u201cdownside bias is moderate.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Brandt says Bitcoin could fall to $60,000 in 2026<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cI believe the charts suggest that Bitcoin could trade down to the $60k level, likely in Q3 of 2026,\u201d he said.
